Better than Norman huh. Only the sinister 6 or maybe tony could possible top that. I doubt it is better than Spider-Man 2 though homecoming wasn’t better than the first two rami movies
I wouldn’t say that. That’s why I said as a Spider-Man geek, his answer may be different than what a non Spider-Man geek would expect. If it was the big man aka tombstone or the kingpin, that would be better than Norman to me at this point

my favorite thing about non "event" Marvel movies is that i can read every spoiler without a care in the world and still enjoy the movie. i'm fiending for these, and outside of something absolutely insane, i have a feeling I'm just gonna read them and go "oh, well yeah, that seemed likely."

Tombstone or Kingpin better than Norman. I don’t know about that one. I’m an x-men guy and if we had two movies without mags in it and he appeared in an end credit scene that would get me hype because of the history of the character. I do have quite a few amazing spider man comics but the Netflix daredevil’s king pin was great so his performance would have to top that

You just said you’re an X-men guy tho. I’m speaking as a Spider-Man fanatic. I’d much rather see the kingpin or the big man. I’ve seen Norman in three movies. Seen his son. I want to see more mob ties and underworld shyt. And tombstone or the kingpin are that for me.

That’s why I said I don’t know if he was talking as a Spider-Man fanatic or just as a general audience. For me, sinister six is meh. And not because of movies or anything but because in the comics they’ve never quite lived up to the promise. Best sinister six interpolation is in spectacular Spider-Man. By far.

But Kingpin really doesn't do anything, hes not really a physical threat to spiderman and they can't CGI him too how he looks in the comics. It'd just be pretty blah.

I picture him manipulating events behind the scene forcing spiderman to fight goons like hammer head or tombstone. Kingpin isn't supposed to get his hands dirty he's supposed to be untouchable. The final boss fight could be kingpin forcing peter parker into a public situation where he can't use his powers without exposing himself so he just has to take the beating without resisting until he figures out a way to outsmart kingpin.

Hes not a physical threat? He’s always been a physical threat to Spider-Man. Pick a comic. The one time he wasn’t is when peter found out kingpin put a hit on him and got aunt May instead.

I meant on the big screen it's hard to buy a guy like Vincent Donofrio giving spiderman that work

That’s where acting and story comes into play. And like @Luke Cage said, kingpin’s true threat comes from power. Showing peter the world doesn’t work the way he thinks it does and pulling the strings from behind the curtain. Peter has a very strict sense of right and wrong and justice. Kingpin perverts all of that and shows that crime does pay. And for someone like peter, that’s incredibly depressing
