I really don’t care about miles being in the mcu either, let The original Spider-Man get some shine now he’s finally in the right universe made by the right people

And like I mentioned in here yesterday, branching timelines is wack
I agree. The multiverse will be okay when used sparingly and properly. But people just running with it and going crazy wanting 5 spidermans. :snoop:

Just saw Endgame and the new trailer, scust at what they’re doing to Spider-Man. Pepper already has the Iron suit, yet Marvel trying to make Peter the new Iron Man. :scust:

Spider-Man is a top 3 hero, he don’t need to try to be someone else. :scust: :camby:

It’s just symbolism breh. They’re not going to make him the new iron man; it’s him meaning as much to this universe and the people as iron man did. Positioning Peter to be that dude

He’s fukking 16, let him be a kid not the leader of the Avengers. Hell, you can slide T’Challa in that role. BP runs a first world nation and is well versed in large scale battles, BP would be perfect as the new “Iron Man”.

You can make the case that Captain Marvel can take over, after she gets seasoned in another film, her in Endgame just commands respect and leadership.

First off, cap is the leader of the avengers:ufdup:

B, it’s not about him being in charge of anything but now being that type of figure. Taking on the brunt of making sure the world is safe, not just his neighborhood. Being someone of prominence in that universe rather than just the high school kid. He has to step up now

I hate to say it but what a lot of us "traditionalist" Spidey fans have to accept is they aren't gonna portray our mans exactly the way we wanted. For one there have been two previous adaptations so in order for them to differentiate, they're gonna take certain liberties. Also because of the way the rights are set up, they're gonna tie the character up to Iron Man so that Sony doesn't grow wings and try and cut Marvel from their deal.

Yes and no to that. The way they’re portraying him now is pretty right in line with how he was when he first started. A high school kid looking to make a name for himself and trying to figure out what it means to be a hero. While bumping into the fantastic four and the avengers and figuring out where he fits. Once he graduated high school is when he became more of his own man and more in line with the guy we know him to be now. shyt when he first started, he wanted to be a member of the fantastic four because he looked up to them and thought they got paid. And he’s always looked up to captain America and iron man in the comics.

Him “being the next iron man” is all symbolism and of course he’ll come to realize the world doesn’t need another iron man. They need Spider-Man. And being Spider-Man is better than being the next iron man. Which is part of growing up and perfectly in line with Peter Parker

It takes time to get there though.
