Official Spider-Man: Far From Home Thread

This Spider-Man is underwhelming because his come up is welded to Tony's nuts.
"Far From Home" barely qualifies as a Spider-Man film with how much Tony, Nick, and Shield were mentioned or involved. Worked for Cap, but Spider-Man's way too good of a character to need these crutches. Both of his villains were a consequence of Tony's actions. Spider-Man's abilities taking "the next step" are always a result of Tony's involvement. I forgot this Peter was supposed to be some wiz-kid with how much they have him rely on Stark/Shield tech. And they threw away his intrapersonal conflict of Peter vs. Spider-Man now that his identity is out there.
He's been reduced to a vehicle pushing the Avengers narrative. It prevents these movies from standing on their own against the test of time.
My only gripe with these new spidey films, to much reliance on IM. I think spidey is great enough to stand and grow on his own.
Yup, first 2 Spideys in today's dollars are both over a billion easy based on today's dollars and calculations.

You can tell how fake it is, but it's in very small detail if you pay close attention. Great vfx work tho.
I liked it but it didnt feel like a spider-man movie.

I liked the movie because i knew they were setting spiderman up to take point as the main leader of the avengers.

The MCU is based mostly on the Ultimate marvel. Ultimate Spiderman is basically a Nick Fury Shield recruit. It was a pretty popular run too. I actually like it because it works for a younger inexperienced spiderman, and then as he gets older to like Tobey Mcquire age he be that kind of spiderman.
