The make shift arena this past episode was the strongest scene of the season for me. Sparty and HBK back in the element that made them what they are before they face the end next episode. The series definitely needed to touch back on the gladiator roots and they did a good job.

i noticed how after last weeks episode, everyone finally accepted the new dude as sparty. and it was because this very reason. we was all ridin wit andy when he started from the bottom, toiling in piss and shyt. we saw him go thru hell and back. we was wit him when he was gettin sonned in the ludas and arena. we were also there when he hit the come up. sadly, we were only able to finally see him free from the house of batiatus only for a few moments. even though its the same character, we never saw new sparty go through the struggle, he was just automatically free. now seeing him givin dat work in actual gladiator combat, its like he finally got his hands dirty. it's like andy took the show to the goaline, now the new dude, through no fault of his own, gets to punch it in. fukk, that should be andy leading the rebellion tonight in glorious final battle!!!! why lord??

I've hated this new Sparty since last season even though I couldn't deny his acting ability. But he showed me a little something this past episode. I still think Andy was much more raw and gritty, but this new dude did his thing.

if they do end up killing all the rebels, they should have the final moments of the show be similar to the ending of Titanic, when they show the ship underwater and then all the light comes in, they open the door and u see all the ppl who died on board, greeting the chick as she finally dies. replace Rose and Jack, with Sparactus greeting Crixus and the slaves of the rebellion surrounding them in the arena of the after life. Fade to black

Honestly i wasn't feeling the new dude till I seen the trailer for season 3 when he said " there are no terms of surrender I expect a Roman to keep" I knew he was ready.

I think the beard helped him out to I couldn't stand looking at a clean shaven Spartacus.

He definitely held it down this season though

Love the dialouge also the shyt is just so poetic.
