Damn... 28 years ago I was became a Sonic the Hedgehog stan (folks bought me a sega genesis for Christmas with Sonic 2 as the game). He been taking so many Ls the last 20 years

Carrey killed that Eggman role and how he transformed 95% into how he really looks by the end was dope

the extra scene has me excited for the sequel
I’d kinda combine the stories of Sonic 2 & 3’s games into 1 plot since that’s really one big game anyway which would introduce Metal Sonic as a mid film villain and Knuckles... then introduce Shadow in the 3rd film
if they can get a decent MARIO movie active, we’d have decent live action Pokémon, Sonic and Mario and they could Marvel up a Super Smash Bros movie if these companies were smart
side note: had this Sonic Mania game for the Switch for bout a year and finally played it with my son after watching the movie and this game is PIFF.. that Studiopolis level is amazing

They're actually doing an animated Mario movie.
I think it's supposed to be coming out in 2022 so it might end up competing with the Sonic sequel.

But holy fukk would this whole thing have been awkward with that old design. Like, Sonic's plucky character coming from THAT horrifying abomination?! What were they thinking in the beginning

Now I want a Ugly Sonic directors cut on Blu Ray.
