Lol wutever...I'm not arguing about that part and it's not me being obsessed with street life...I'm enjoying the main characters "story" for what his "story" is...some of y'all watch television wrong and care about all the wrong shyt
The irony of this. This show is explicitly meant to be watched objectively which means your feelings should shift and change about the characters, you shouldn’t blindly be behind any one character just because they were first on your screen. Peak watching prestige TV wrong

He has no code? That’s a stretch. Every single person he’s offed was only after they betrayed him in some way. Was his retaliation extreme in some cases? Absolutely. But he wasn’t just randomly offing people for a come up. He even tried multiple times to reconcile with people before he responded. The closest thing to him “having no code” was Andre… ironically though, getting rid of Andre kinda paved the way for the empire he built.

Even after all of that, this dude was almost out, then Teddy had to take everything from him and Franklin turned into a damn demon. Then it seemed like he had another chance to make things right… and Jerome slaps this dude up in a diner, lol. Then it was over…. He slipped completely into darkness, as the exiting scene music suggested.
Lol, Andre’s code was stop that crack shyt before it did more damage. But multiple times I have said it’s not Frank killing him that’s the issue - it’s his sociopathic actions with Mel after.

in both those situations where he could’ve set things right/walked away - he fumbled. He was talking hella shyt to get slapped up, he threatened Teddy twice and got his money taken. Like let’s lay both sides on the table

What exactly was he supposed to do? He cared about Mel, that was obvious. I don’t think he was communicating with Mel that way because he was a sociopath. I think he knew he was dead wrong and in his naivety he thought he could atone by paying for the funeral and “being there” for her. He wasn’t doing it for because he thought he deserved her or because he got a kick out of it. THAT would have been sociopathic. And you interpreting that way is fine… but that’s just your interpretation.

And what led to him threatening Teddy? If there was anyone who deserved to be threatened for the BS they did, it was Teddy. And Jerome started that conversation by disrespecting Franklin…. straight up denigrating his manhood when he was trying end the beef, lol.

The elephant in the room is that nobody thought Franklin could become as ruthless as he did… so they kept trying him thinking they could get away with it. Teddy, Louie, Jerome, Manboy, etc. Maybe because they knew he was the good kid that tried to go college. They all thought they could push Franklin and he wouldn’t cross a line in retaliation. And as a result, they turned him into the piece of shyt they didn’t think he could become.

And let’s be real, he IS legit largely a piece of shyt now. But it’s not all his own doing.

Breh ain't no way this shyt is endin with a sober Franklin. Killing Teddy's pops is some shyt I'd expect a cokehead to do. Skully even.

I need him staring down a mountain of powder on the series finale

i'm tired of arguing this so i'm out after this...but it is his fault, Franklin has literally been non strop driven by wanting more money, power, and changing the status of his bloodline. he keep digging deeper, doing more, becoming more ruthless to attain that goal. he's said multiple times throughout seasons that he's not letting anyone stand in his way. in his convo with teddy at the end of season 5 - he owns up to all the damage - including selling out his father - feeling it was a fair trade for the money he made

his pride got him in this situation - for however big frank thought he was, he easily could've played shyt better with teddy, the one person with means to fukk him over, and given himself more time to secure his assets for a full exit
