From a writing standpoint they strictly did that to the desensitized Jerome's character.

Feel bad for Jerome even though he lost me temporarily for how he treated Leon. He looked sad as shyt going to the car repair shop realizing that everyone was scared of him and that he would’ve been better off with a simple life. Franklin’s greed got them in this mess (selling drugs) and Louie’s greed got them in this war. Unc just wanted a stereo shop

Whole episode was kinda off this week, somewhat anticlimactic.

Ending was way too predictable.

They set it up too much last week, frank dropping the location to find Louie , drunk Jerome and his last hurrah. They should’ve dived into this raw…unlike pimp breh
