This. Introducing Kevins big bro out of nowhere and not even as much as a mention from the earlier seasons as some top OG that got MAJOR pull is hella jumping the shark. If he was that respected in prison and on the street it would have came up earlier it would be a problem. Franklin would have at least tried to remedy the situation or at least considered the backlash. They are just desperate for plotlines so they make up Kevin having a crazy top dog brother. Lets not even talk about the tiger somehow escaping and Franklin using it as a weapon lol

The Kane situation was just weird all-around. I know they're trying to stay away from the gang stuff, but that could've gone a long way to explaining how this cat who was in jail for several years was able to come out the pen and have a high quality surveillance crew and three car loads of shooters on deck at the drop of a hat. Even then it stretches believability that, Leon and Franklin's best friend's brother (who Franklin murdered), who has all that power in the hood, could get out of jail and they have no idea. Franklin is kind of isolated, but Leon is in the pjs everyday. Ain't no way an OG like Kane comes home and they don't know about it. Not to mention the setup was non-existent. They've been setting up the dirty cop and Louie having to "sacrifice" somebody all season with no payoff and they just introduce a Skully level villain out of nowhere? Remember last season how they set up Peaches being able to pick locks just so the scene where they get the drop on Tanosse made sense? Definite drop off in the quality of writing this seaon.



Also, the Peaches thing is getting weird. They've been settin up him having HIV all season, but now he's the mole too? He's the only one who knew abou the drop and the stash house. But he had no idea about the meeting with Louie and Franklin's girl/mom or about Leon's meeting with Avi. So assuming Peaches gave him the info, he could set up the hit on Franklin and rob him, but the other two hits at the same time?

kev fukked up man, got emo over his counsin - their crew wasn't strong enough to war with the mexicans back then, he was out there smoking the product, he sold out the crack recipe to the mexicans, breh was about to shoot this dude in a park full of witnesses and kids and in front of his kids, frank shot him in the leg and just so happened to hit an artery...kev was a fukk up and a situation gone wrong, but that's one move i don't hold on frank

And all that shyt started after them two nikkas decided to sell on territory they wasn't supposed to. Even after Franklin and Jerome told them not to and warned them, they did it anyway

First thing Jerome said was. "I told y'all not to fukking sell on Pico."

And y'all forgot about Kevin stealing from the stash to give to the dead guys moms. Had Frankling paranoid thinking there was a snake in the crew only for Kevin to tell him he did it and that he didn't have to ask permission.

Like @AlbertPullhoez already said, those brehs had already been told not to sell there and they decided to fukk around and find out. I think you need to re-watch season 2 to remind yourself just how low to the ground their operation was. Kev needed to eat that L, but he sold the whole crew out for a very stupid shot at revenge

True. But if that was my boy, I would’ve tried my best to explain to him that we’d get revenge. Just later on. Once everything died down, and it couldn’t be tied back to us. IIRC, Franklin wasn’t saying that; just that it wasn’t good for business.

Kevin wasn't trying to hear shyt, no matter how reasonable it was. Man was bringing Mexican chicks back to the spot just to torture them for info.

This season sucks. there was NO build up or important points for Kevin’s brother, but now out of nowhere he’s a big dog who knows all of franklin’s moves? nikka is a Peewee coach fukk outta here.

A season before this one was desperately needed, from V, to Jerome & Skully’s partnership, Alton’s “death”, and Kevin’s brother being a threat these are important plot points that needed to be build upon. Everything just feels unbelievable.

Don't get me started on the tiger conveniently jumping the Mexican, plot armour crazy. When it's all said and done John Singletons death will be noted as where this show fell off.

Brehs were predicting it was him but idk how they knew Kev had a brother, let alone he was the one behind it. We must be missing something from the past cuz it don't make no damn sense
