it must of been rough for the new cast members getting styled on when they were in sketches with the ogs

like even in the montage vigettes you could see a dramatic drop off in talent idk if its the writers or what but holy shyt
word, they were getting blown the fukk out by the veterans and even though you cant really realistically FEEL it you could feel millions of people around the world instantly going :francis: once they couldn't recognize who the fukk one of these scrubs were who got more than 5 seconds of screen time and everyone realized "...oh, that must be a new cast member" :laff:

I been watching the show since the early 90s

Dude is at least top 5 for me.
I'd say hes on the (very)short list of cast members who can be considered for the GOAT title

great re-occurring characters, great impressions, and just a generally likable/versatile dude

go back and watch the seasons he was on, and Dana is in almost every sketch

he put in some serious work, the writers probably loved him

while i'm on the topic of maya rudolph again, am i the only one that fukked with her show that she had with christina applegate a couple of years ago called "up all night"

why they had to cancel that shyt? :why: i think that show only had like 2 seasons if that :snoop:

i ain't sayin' it was the best thing since slice bread but it was still a pretty decent show that had it's funny moments :yeshrug:
they had some issues with the show's direction after the first season (which was really good)

The golden period of SNL was the late 80s/early 90s. Dana Carvey was the most dominant performer during that period. Even more than Myers, Lovitz, and Hartman. He had the most "WOW" moments on that show.

Carvey gets shytted on because his post SNL career wasnt as great as others, but he is def in the GOAT conversation.

Since I been watching, only Carvey, Ferrell, and Pohler were like that.

post SNL has changed the perception of MARTIN SHORT and Dana Carvey. both were hillarious

Paul Simon is waaaaaay more important to SNL than Paul McCarthy.

Paul Simon is just in ny all the time with nothing to do so they used him a lot

He's not on the level if a Beatle

Kayne is more important than him
