8/16 Smackdown TV Ratings - Week 2 vs. Olympics upticks, similar to Raw -

WWE Smackdown rebounded by a slight margin, following the lead of Monday’s Raw in Week 4 of the brand split.

WWE Smackdown TV Ratings Tracking

August 16: Smackdown Live scored a 1.72 TV rating, slightly up from a 1.69 rating last week.

Week 2 of Smackdown against the Olympics also upticked in TV viewership.

Smackdown drew 2.471 million viewers, up less than a percent from last week’s live audience of 2.455 million viewers.

– DEMOGRAPHICS: Smackdown was essentially even with last week in adults 18-49 and males 18-49.

However, males 18-34 dipped from last week, the first sign of m18-34 viewership falling off after a strong first three weeks.

– Overall, the 1.72 rating is in-between where Smackdown was earlier this year taped on Thursday nights. The First Quarter averaged a 1.77 rating and the Second Quarter averaged a 1.61 rating.

Smackdown and Raw have been affected by Olympics the past two weeks, but there is another chance for interest to be created for post-Summerslam episodes.

There was an info graph showing the percentage of viewers SmackDown has compared to RAW. For example if RAW has 3 million viewers and we only have 1.5 then it would be 50%.

We started off the brand split at 82% and we've been slowly rising... Now we're at 85%

And we're only going to be

I've graphed RAW & SD ratings post brand split
3 weeks in SD's trends follow RAW's (basically if RAW drops from previous week SD drops and vice versa)

I think we were the big winners of SummerSlam, underwhelming WWE Championship match aside.

Though Brock won, the fact he F-5d Shane to end the show is going to make people tune in and see what happens on Tuesday. Plus the fallout from the #SDSet classic AJ vs Cena. I do wonder if they're going to immediately put AJ in a program with Dean for the title.

The other guys, just one match really mattered and that was Finn winning their horribly thought of belt. More than likely that's just going to lead to a rematch at Clash of Champions, same with Rusev/Reigns.

I think Backlash is going to be a surprise to those doubting if we can put together a solo PPV.

What a fukking show :banderas:

To journey to Summerslam was mostly filler. The new era began tonight. I believe in Ryan Ward and his focused booking with this limited but still talented roster :lawd:

Except for Wyatt...no one can help Bray from ending up in feuds he's either gonna lose or not come out looking like a menace :mjcry:

When we get Joe :ohlawd:
