That used be the dealbreaker for me, however I very rarely pull the sd card out. Although I would be curious at the speed difference between using the S6 internal storage vs an S5 and the fastest card available.
external SD is slower than internal.

I played with the s6 and edge today and its literally like every other android, I use a 6+ now so it felt super tiny, I might still get the gold one, but a Note with that build would be dope, I can't say this feels premium to me as i've used iPhones prior, but this def feels better than any prior samsung. I honestly feel we are at a point where all devices are the same, so you just cop what you can afford, build quality you prefer, and best cam.

I haven't really looked anything up on the s6, but is there a big jump from the S5?

I'm either going to get a note 4 or a s6, any suggestions?

Zagg needs to find a way to make an Extreme Glass protector for the Edge. Bought one for my S5, goat protection.

If it's flopped hard the S4 and S5 have too since they sold similarly like it says in the article. It's a flop because it won't reach 70 million but that's only by Samsung's standards, if it were somebody else on Android it did great. The G3 has sold around that amount and it's been out a year.

But even the article is wrong. Samsung has shipped, not sold, 10 million units. So they've sold less.

And it has nothing to do with microSD and removable batteries, it's too expensive in most of the world. In Ireland it costs several hundreds more than the iPhone.

The Galaxy S series is too close to the iPhone. The phone now looks like an iPhone, has the fingerprint scanner like the iPhone. Is gonna have Samsung Pay like the iPhone has Apple Pay.

Thing is Samsung used to mock Apple for things like a non-removable battery, no SD card, the fact that the S5 was weatherproof and the iPhone isn't. They then redesign the S6 and make it more iPhone like than ever and the effect on sales is nothing if not selling less. I just don't think recreating the iPhone on Android works.

Also if people cared about "premium build quality" on Android why hasn't the HTC One M series been king? The Galaxy series has peaked it's just that simple.

The dude who wrote that article is a Forbes contributer, not a staff writer. I haven't seen any legit tech sites report that the S6 flopped.

Still the core fact is they shipped 10m, pretty much the same amount as the S4 and S5, which was considered a blip for Samsung...hence why they tried to kick it out the park with the S6.

They clearly hoped to sell more and should be...

Like others have said its too expensive for many, especially with the rise in budget alternatives.

Ima cop when it goes down, great camera and fingerprint sensor is a must this time around for me.

I agree that it's a mistake for Samsung trying too hard to be like like the iPhone. Android's success is because of it's differences from the iPhone. So it was a dumb idea to copy.

I don't even think it's that. They are now facing a lot of competition from Chinese OEM's. Samsung ( LG, Sony, & etc. ) can't compete price-wise with them. I'm amazed how now everyone on this forum is now fine with buying Android devices from Chinese OEMs.

A year or 2 ago, you would get clowned on this forum for having an Android device from a Chinese OEM. Now it's the norm.
