The talent pool got deeper. She was average at best in the ring but her character work and mic work elevated her b/c at the time, the division wasn't quite set yet. Now, you have women who have as good, if not better character and mic work *and* they can go in the ring (ex. Ruby Riott) while at the same time, Alexa hasn't stepped her cookies up at all in regards to her ring work and is still playing the same character, hitting the same notes, and hasn't revamped or refreshed her character in any way. In short, everyone else caught up and what was standout at the time, is now *standard*.

You’re giving Alexa too much credit by saying she’s average at best in the ring. She’s actually extremely subpar, and her offense consists of kicks, punches, her finisher, and avoiding taking bumps. Everything else you said is correct though, she has stalled out as a character, even though it seems like they’re trying to push her as a face now (which is ), and she’s no better in the ring than when she was in NXT. Multiple women with less developmental time have passed her already.
