What I don't understand is if Ronda wasn't in the Rumble match then why have her come out then to steal Auska's moment as being the first woman's royal rumble winner? Why not end the Rumble with Auska pointing at the Wrestlemania sign, and then the next night on raw do the segment with Auska standing there with Alexa and Charlotte then have Ronda come out.

Cause there's more eyes on the Rumble than Raw... and in turn, it'll have people tuning into Raw tonight expecting to see what happens next? :mindblown:

Obviously, Rousey was gonna "steal" whomever's moment it was, but Asuka definitely had her shine by winning the Rumble, and it's not dulled any more just because Rousey showed up.

Y'all be exaggeratin' like shyt... They were both essential to the team's success, but Christian was always the other guy and didn't even find his footing as a singles star until 2004 with the Jericho feud.

Real talk, e&c did not really actually get good till the conquistador angle.
WWE revision likes to make it so that edge and christian take precedent over the hardy's and ecw invading dud's at the time.
When in reality the decision was smart because e&c needed the rub as heels in their wins. Which authenicates why they went over. Yet and still originally e&c were not as good as the hardy's and duds as a team. Plus Christian was always the best worker but that got lost. when Christian was paired Down in importance from the brood. So by then Christian was like you said playing a good sport and second fiddle to mcmahon's man crush for edge. Which rightly so, was smart of Christian and he actually got trickle down from it. Albeit he had to go the long way, it still resulted in more for him than someone else in the position. Who flanks a McMahon man crush style hopeful like edge was. Before edge was demoted to tags to build edge up the long way. Which never worked in singles till edge's debauchery with lita was exposed and matt hardy was a victim from the occurrence. Then also logged into it. You are right tho, originally. They treated Christian like throw away.
when christian was actually the best worker. Yet Christian was a great sport cause he played his cards right via edge.
to even get in the wwf at the time. Plus be given an actual real role as lhw champion when he debuted. So, Christian is one of the very few to play the game and get way more than what was intended for him. While being a complete good sport about it mostly. Only time politically he flexed he was kinda punished for but eventually they still had to give him more than they really wanted. As real talk,... They could have played christian like Shane helms or any of the guys brother nero and matt brought along from Cameron, NC.

Jeez Steph is so horrible on announcing.
It is like a wack female announcer version of McMahon on the announce team.
It really ruined it as far as an audio based work.
All the high moments get deflated everytime Steph expounds on a moment on commentary. They would have been better served to have groomed a female announcer who loves wrasslin. To be the women based voice of this monumental match.

No that was the booking and his frail body couldnt even hold its end of the bargain:lolbron:

Can't use frail as an excuse for Edge when you're riding for Christian. If E&C made a comeback last night for anything other than a talking segment, they'd be sharing a penthouse suite at Philly's best hospital. :pachaha:

Nakamura: 'This is the biggest thing to happen in my career' ... until WrestleMania

PHILADELPHIA -- As Shinsuke Nakamura walked to the back of the Wells Fargo Center after winning the Royal Rumble, he couldn't stop smiling and shaking his head before finally leaning against a stack of boxes at the arena's loading dock, away from the bright lights and the cameras.

"I believe this is the biggest thing to happen in my career so far," Nakamura told ESPN. "That's until WrestleMania this year which will be the biggest thing in my life."

Two years almost to the day since the WWE announced that Nakamura would be making his debut for the company at NXT TakeOver: Dallas before WrestleMania that year, Nakamura will be in one of the main events on the company's biggest show; fighting for a world championship.

Nakamura was the 14th entrant into the 30-man Royal Rumble match and lasted 44:25 before eliminating Roman Reigns for the biggest win in his WWE career. Nakamura was clearly the fan favorite. After his entrance music stopped playing, the sold out crowd at the Wells Fargo Center continued sing it for another 30 seconds while he was in the ring.

"I really felt the people behind me," he said. "You had (John) Cena, Roman, Randy (Orton), the biggest stars in the WWE and I feel like I'm a new guy, but the WWE Universe really supported me."

Nakamura said he understood the significance of the Royal Rumble as one of the company's four signature pay-per-view events of the year but admits he had never watched it before until actually being a part of it on Sunday.

"This was my first time being in a match with these kinds of rules," Nakamura said. "I've never watched a Royal Rumble match. This was my first time. I wanted to enjoy it for the first time being in it."

While Nakamura has become one of the more popular superstars since joining the company from IWGP Intercontinental Championship in 2016, he admits he had to adjust when he moved from NXT, the WWE's developmental division, to the main roster of WWE SmackDown after WrestleMania last year.

"When I came to NXT, I didn't need to adjust," Nakamura said. "NXT fans are hardcore wrestling fans. I just had to wrestle and they reacted but when I got called up to SmackDown it was different. There's just a difference in the live events. So last year I had to make an adjustment from NXT to SmackDown like others have done from NXT to Raw. It takes time to adjust but today I finally feel like I'm there. I feel at home. It's hard to choose the words even if I was speaking Japanese. It's hard to find the words."

As Nakamura tried to find the right words to express himself, WWE champion AJ Styles came over and congratulated his old friend and gave him a hug. They've faced each other before in the Tokyo Dome and if they have it their way, they will face each other again at the Superdome in New Orleans at WrestleMania.

"One of the reasons to come to the WWE was to wrestle at WrestleMania, but to main-event WrestleMania? Wow! I live for this," Nakamura said. "I have experience wrestling Brock (Lesnar) and AJ, but I really think the people and the audience around the world want to see AJ and me. That's the match everyone wants to see."

I dont need to be riding for christian to say edge was overrated but the E would have you think different. To be honest i wasnt a fan of his either but he was out and out the better of the 2. At least he went to TNA and earned hespect for his work in the ring as oppose to someone else whose career was decided over a hard on
