That's what made the whole entire segment worse. Asuka just won a "grueling" rumble, so both champions come in the ring for Asuka to choose. Fair enough as Asuka licks her thumb and twirls around like it's her arena (as it is her arena:noah:). Out comes Ronda with the most ridiculous theme song period. Smiles and giggles like a 9th grader on orientation. Gets in the ring looks serious but smiles. Serious look once again and smiles at Asuka while giving out daps and reps. Asuka undaps the dap, fair enough. She gets out the ring and bounces like a 7th grader towards Stephanie. Shakes her hand with a serious look while gives up daps/reps at the audience.

Like what in the living hell am I suppose to do as a watcher/fan/human:dahell:?

  • Cheer
  • Boo
  • Be shock
  • Confuse
  • Happy
  • Angry
WTF was that:mindblown::dahell::damn:

I missed almost the whole match, but this whole sequence sounds :dead: the way you describe it.

I'm going to check it out for myself later.

The match isn't worth the time. The ending was as awkward as he described it. If Rousey was a surprise entrant, there wouldn't be this reaction this morning. For the wrong reasons, it overshadowed Asuka.

To tell you the truth, I'm just happy WWE not only kept the men's Rumble from being a disaster for once (and made it an entertaining Rumble at that), but got the women's Rumble right also. :dwillhuh:

Ryan Ward probably has a writing credit for this show. :wow:

Or better, have her show up at Raw because we still gotta figure out who Asuka is challenging:jbhmm:. The whole entire segment was just WWE being WWE by busting their load quickly, instead of embracing foreplay with the booking.

Comparing WWE to a horny teenager. :russ: :russ: :russ:

Damage Control. It's way too late now. They feel safe mentioning her now that she's gone. It's a moot effort at this point. Probably only mentioning her now because they feel like they've gained some goodwill with the audience since they finally inducted her into the HOF posthumously.
Chyna isn't in the HOF yet.

It may sound weird describing, but this will be a rumble ppv that's much much more fun to watch back than it was watching live. It was a chore in places due to not being able to skip some stuff.

The sequencing affected the crowd which affected the matches too. The AJ/KO/Zayn match was good/great to kick it off. The two tag matches were skippable with weird finishes. The WWE title match was ok but frustrating like most of Brock's last few matches because you can tell when the ending sequence is starting a mile away.

The men's rumble was great. I wish Rusev and Elias could have been there to the end with Finn, Naka, and Roman, but it was dope to have the old school vs. new school. Rey had me smiling like it was 97 all over again. He looks great and was bouncing around like he got his groove back.
It's great that we're finally got a decent rumble after the last 5-7 years of disappointment. :heh:

The women's rumble was much better than it had any right to be. That top rope made it difficult for a few eliminations but they worked around it well. The hall of fame and soon to be hall of fame appearances (Lita, Trish, Beth, Jacqueline, Vickie and MOLLY :banderas:) were awesome and well done. I loved the Trish/Molly callback (complete with Trish doing the V gesture) and wouldn't mind seeing them mix it up one last time. The non HOF women (McCool, Bellas, Torrie, K2) could have stayed in the back :heh:. The full timers held their own. Ember is gonna be a problem. Sasha needs to be heel like yesterday and was deserving of the iron woman award. She should have been thrown out twice for that sequence with Lita though :pachaha:. I love Nia just for her presence. She knows her strengths and is using them perfectly. Asuka is going to be the undisputed GOAT if she doesn't get injured. She just gets it. Everything from how she swags to the ring to her mocking Ember is just gold. I'm glad she won.

Ron just wasn't needed last night IMO and could have made a bigger impact tonight, but it is what it is.

All in all it was a great evening simply because they got the big stuff right with both rumbles.

The thing with the Bella's is the only reason WWE is rewriting history pretending they were the leaders of the women's movement (or the main centerpieces) is because Nikki is with Cena and they're popular with Total Divas. Plain and simple.

Otherwise they would be considered just like a Kelly Kelly or Michelle McCool and that is NOT knock or bad thing because everyone played a part. But to paint this false narrative that they were like Trish, Lita, etc. is just downright absurd.

Almost as bad as when WWE rewrites history pretending DX was bigger and more influential than the NWO.

The Women's Revolution (now Evolution for whatever reason) for sure took place in WWE in large part because Total Divas blew up more than they expected and was giving them a new audience. TD was entirely the brainchild of the Bellas, so they're going to get credit because they deserve credit.

Both rumbles were very entertaining, have to give props where they are due. The other matches were ok I missed the raw tag title match, but in the end we come for the rumble.

The men’s match had a lot of fukkery, some cool spots and they got the final six and winner right. Women’s match I thought would be awful but they did their thing and had some cool surprises. Not sure if they are gonna do this annually, if so they’re gonna have to boost up the roster. Can’t depend on that many legends every year.
