agreed fam roh is basically njpw development promotion at this point the way there wrestlers are being book

What'chu mean?
The booking typically makes sense in a fighting spirit base for the encounters of njpw and roh.
To the point a few npjw L's.
I have been like wow,....really.
Like the kingdom ever ever getting straps for instance.
Marty fish just pretty much destroying the pittbull.
Michael elgin getting to be basically be Elgin with no issues after being made a draw.
When I would expect him to always be developmental to njpw like moose was always going to be and still should in tna.
I don't see what you are guys are saying as being real at all.

I think the booking has just made sense per the encounter of the legacy based draw for that talent.

On another fukk'n note,....

Cot damn this nikka lethal done went to another level with this lethal injection shyt on colt cabana. Lethal is honestly trying and saying.
Lethal is on another level to anybody with the counter sequencing and you start to really discuss.
Who is possibly the nicest now fa real.
Cot damn this lethal cabana freetv is fye
Man, lemme hit play on this pause effect and get back to this shyt. I can't believe that is not the finish. He could have beat colt cabama clean and nobody could say shyt after that lethal injection.

All those guys you mentioned are NJPW regulars as well.

ROH guys rarely if ever go over NJPW guys in singles competition. It's why ROH keeps Jay Lethal and Jay Briscoe away from them.

Unless its Watanabe, Liger, or Kushida we always know who's doing the J-O-B

so you guys count roh regulars who are now njpw guys as njpw guys.
all cause i consider all the guys i named who dominated roh guys who are used on njpw.
is there some admin on these guys being both regular roster guys in both promotions i don't know about.
if so, fill me in cause i would like for someone around here to rant on the partnership between roh and njpw.

They share a lot of the same guys, i consider those both ROH & NJPW guys:

Bucks
ReDragon
Elgin(Part time ROH now, Full time NJPW)
Briscoes just started working more over there, current IWGP champs

Didn't realize ROH only has like 25 wrestlers on the roster

I, feel you but I guess since I look at them as roh properties first.

Plus the booking always makes sense to the draw build mystique of the grappler.
I don't look at it as lopsided.
All their booking makes complete actual sense and is followed with a sense making decision.
I don't view their product as lopsided.
I view it as incredibly accurate as far as decision on the card.

I don't think I ever saw any roh or njpw match and thought they made the incorrect decision in booking.

I used to think that too, and actually agreed with protecting the NJPW guys until i saw just how lopsided it was over the past 3 years. The weren't just protecting Okada & Nakamura, but also Tanahashi, the Bullet Club, Naito, etc.

Meanwhile ROH has fed numerous hot guys to them like Cole, Roddy, Dalton Castle, ACH, C.Alexander. They even had Ishii take the tv title off of Roddy clean in Japan days before his title defense vs Bobby Fish.

The NJPW guys make the ROH regulars look inferior

The roh guys typically are viewed as inferior, tho.
when we look at the grapplers by their actual skill or draw.
As roh guys who typically job are developmental and enhancement talent.
Unless they fit into a larger veteran or larger drawing fold.
Ishii should go over roddy as roddy is typically booked like superman generally.
Ach is different as at one point in time he could have been viewed as the main freetv baby-face who was in an enhancement role and hitting a stride as a worker to warrant later building a draw and more larger wins.
Ach would never be typically viewed before that run to go over a njpw guy and he had his build with Evan/sydal to illustrate starting this period.

Roh is not at the level they were at previously roster wise and I feel the njpw partnership had to be made to even make them interesting moving forward with a freetv deal and also hoping to make a draw for a ppv crowd.

Roh was raided horrifically.
Which is even how we got to the reigns of Elgin to Briscoe, Cole, steen.
of course their reigns did not occur in that order leading to now lethal's lengthy reign.
Yet in that I feel roh has offered a great gateway to the domestic audience and puro and axis tv's njpw show.
Which every week features the best workrate in general on freetv as far as wrasslin goes week to week programming wise.

The guys you named were apart of a list Gedo/NJPW had about a year ago of ROH wrestlers they wanted to bring over. If you notice all of them have been/were randomly pushed and given more tv time.

Adam Page for example did nothing to impress in ROH but he was reported to be on Gedos list and now look at him randomly in the Bullet Club

I agree with alot of what you said. But those guys you named near the end are all more than worthy of being ROH champion regardless of who is on the roster

Ach is there but he had to ramp.
Roh was raided beyond repair from their directv to now days.
To the point even Nigel was gone before ever being seen on the actual debut directv roh which you could say he helped position from his quality of matches and run as roh champ.
Yet in that it also includes Bryan, Austin Aries, to steen, Claudio, generic, etc.
So, I look at their period from then to now as basically doing an unheralded job to weather an almost insurmountable storm.
Where they actually found a way to develop another tv show on actual freetv from that raid.
In which Elgin was basically shot put into the same role as rhyno on the second ecw raid tnn deal.

So, I can't really say over that time till now anyone could have been roh champ.
Yet the ramp up possibilities of what was left there opened the way for Cole to get the rocket on his back and be a great heel upstart from a classic perennial personality-less baby face.
So, the remaining and incoming roh guys from that time period because of the lack of talent benefitted and imo,....
Roh guys get better by being the loser who takes sumfin away as a learning experience to their draw.
So, eventually they can step into the role as a champion.
Case in point the brisco's, to jay lethal.
If there was a so called predilection based dominance of njpw personalities on the winning end in lopsided fashion.
It was desperately because rob had guys who need to ramp and were and needed to jump the shark a bit by being in ring sofhhh njpw guys.
Case in point like moose.
Moose is totally green Nd not ready for tna at all,.
Plus would benefit more from roh jobs to njpw personalities like he had been doing.
instead of moving to fast to tna.
Where he can and will get exposed on the level of the blueprint matt Morgan workrate and personality wise.

So, I don't feel anyone in roh who has jobbed to njpw really could have been roh champ.
I see them being and needing njpw jobs as cred and draw builders that eventually in a succession of njpw losses can be viewed as being seasoned enough for the next step.

The only roh guy who could be world champ who is not sniffing world title chances.
Yet is setup with a jay Briscoe eventual job base work that could lead to a elevation in draw and possibly a heel cheat meets clean style victory could be Adam Paige after his gimmick tweak and change.
Yet that would not have been possible if not for his jobs and connection to awful ass whitmer leading up to this wrinkle in time now.
Yet, Paige would still need to job to the likes of tanahashi, Naito, rainmaker, liger, gotto etc.

dragonlee.jpg

The best professional wrestling on the planet is coming back to the Boston area this fall! On Friday, September 30th, be there for ALL STAR EXTRAVAGANZA VIII also airing live on pay-per-view. And the very next day, we're bringing you a national television taping on October 1st! But in addition to your favorite ROH stars, this massive two day event will also feature stars from New Japan Pro Wrestling! That's right, New England finally gets the chance to see the dream matches and LIVE international action that only ROH and NJPW can bring you.

Making his Ring of Honor debut in Lowell... DRAGON LEE!

One of the most talked about young athletes in all of professional wrestling, DRAGON LEE has commanded the attention of fans everywhere. Many associate him with current ROH standout Kamaitachi and have been wowed by their incredible feud. As part of his NJPW Young Lion "excursion," current ROH star Kamaitachi traveled to Mexico where he spent several years competing for CMLL. This immersive experience shaped his style we see today, and it also ignited his heated rivalry with DRAGON LEE! Kamataichi began his career in Mexico wearing a mask. But the reason his face is revealed today is because of Dragon Lee. These two gravity-defying athletes battled in unforgettable encounters, culminating in a "Luchas de Apuestas" with masks wagered. Kamaitachi lost and was forced to unmask, revealing himself as the former NJPW Young Lion.

Dragon Lee and Kamaitachi would reignite their feud in January, this time over the CMLL World Lightweight Championship. Kamataichi defeated Dragon Lee for the gold, but in time the former champion won back his title. The demand for this unforgettable luchadore has been heard by ROH officials, and now Dragon Lee finally competes in ROH!

Who does Dragon Lee have in his sights? There is an entire roster of ROH stars gunning for the opportunity to compete against this phenomenal talent on September 30th and October 1st!
