Why was I thinking this the other day. Extremely beautiful women have no excuse to be poor. You don't even have to have sex with some of these dudes, and they'll trick on you.
Unfortunately beautiful women are often not the brightest.

I would be stringing along so many dudes it would be awful. "Yes I love you ...gimme some money"

Never you mind....
Can I ask how old you are? How'd you go about moving out?

23 first thing I did was make up a budget. I even exaggerated certain bills/expenses to make sure I could afford to move out. Then I started saving a portion of my check after paying existing bills. After I saved up enough to cover a security deposit then I started looking.

I knew I couldn't go over a certain amount. A good rule of thumb IMO is the "one check rule" meaning if one check can't cover rent I can't t afford it. Craigslist is the main site I used padmapper and sites like rent.com didn't really work for me. :larry: I applied and toured 5 places most of them were crappy :scust: The one I liked out of those I didn't get approved for then I found the place I'm at now a week later. I got lucky because I moved in at the end of the month so rent was prorated to a fraction of the rent.

The most important things to remember is to save as much as possible, make a budget (go over it several times), and be patient when looking for a place. I underestimated how hard apartment hunting is when I was looking especially if you're a first time renter. Also call the gas/electric company and ask them if they charge a deposit. I've heard stories of people paying $300 to start up utilities :damn: my company didn't have a deposit thank God :whew:

Oooo I'll be 23 by years' end :lupe: Idk if the 'one check rule' is realistic for me honestly. I live in NYC. Most 1BR apts are 1100+ and studios are usually only like a hundred or 2 less than most 1BR so it's almost not worth it most times. About how much did you have saved before you made the jump? I've already calculated furniture expenses :mjlol::mjcry:

:wow:Damn that's rough. I saved about $1500 (first month's rent + Security+ any deposits for services like utilities/internet) should have saved $1000-$2000 more in case of surprise expenses but things worked out pretty good anyway :ehh: I lucked out on furniture took most of my stuff from my room and my dad collects a bunch of stuff he finds so he helped me out. If you can get free furniture from family do it. It will save you a lot of money. I just need to get a couch next week and I'm set. Also if you can buy the small things(pots pans soap tissue etc) while you're looking for a place. That stuff adds up quick.

:mjcry: at $1500 including both the first month AND security deposit. I actually do have some kitchen utensils already bought but no plan, no budget, little savings and only a timetable :bryan:My priorities are fukked up lmao. But thanks so much! It's always nice to hear how people my age manage to take that step.

If any other brehettes wanna jump in with your experiences in moving out on your own, I'm all ears.
