Season 3: Episode 6
There was a lot going on in this episode. Starting with Olivia's mom (Khandi Alexander- great casting choice) heading out the door to supposedly go on the ill-fated plane ride.
Considering how last week's show ended, I wasn't surprised that we would get a flashback. I was however disturbed by Liv's mother rocking a 'What's Love Got To Do With It' video wig. I understand that the incident happened years ago, but I'm pretty certain that combs and brushes were around back then. Baby Liv's hair was in plaits so...
Anyways, Mellie...
Nobody asked you to beg Olivia to return to the White House.
So we are finally finding out more about Harrison's character. Not surprising that he was a car salesman. I'm interested in finding out who this guy is that wants him dead and the reasoning.
Lisa Kudrow's
acting character is just not clicking with me. I did like the scene with her and James, but overall I'm not a fan of Josie or her daughter/sister.
It was good to see Abby doing something that didn't involve David.
V.P. Sally Langston being outsmarted was a good storyline. She should know by now that the bottom line, for most, is the almighty dollar. I have a feeling that Mellie will have a hand in eventually setting up her disrespectful husband. Speaking of which, while Sally's age has not been mentioned, it seems as though her husband is several years her junior. Hmm...
Now I get that Quinn is feeling left out but hanging with Charlie?
It's like how naive can she be?
That same question can pertain to Jake as well. Why would you go out to a dark alley with nothing- not a gun, knife, baseball bat et cetera?. Considering that he is a marked man, he should have realized that his hookup may have been tapped to kill him.
Cyrus was doing a helluva lot. It'll be interesting to see in the near future, if he still has as much pull as he believes.
So, Rowan is saying that he didn't send the order to have the plane supposedly carrying Liv's mom to be shot down. Eh...Rowan has been made to be the most powerful person on the show. This isn't to say that he is not working for someone else, but who?
I guess we'll find out more in the upcoming week's. I enjoyed tonight's episode overall and look forward to what's next.
