I had to re-pot my rubber tree. That thing was growing out of control. It had 3 large stalks which I cut in half (little more or less) so I replanted 6 stalks all together. I just hope the "new" stalks root directly in the dirt. I would normally stick it in water an wait for roots but those stalks were way too thick.

What does one do with a rubber tree? Do you actually harvest rubber?
It's called a rubber tree/plant. I had to prune mine because it was touching the ceiling so now it looks more like a plant than a tree. They look like this http://sterling-gardens.net/shop/images/T/RUBBERPLANT.jpg
The plant does ooze sap which is/can be used to produce certain rubber containing products. So if I had the equipment, then I guess I could produce rubber.
