Season 4: Episode 6
Great episode this week.
Starting off with the tired love triangle. *sigh* They are really trying to put Fitz and Jake on the same level in terms of how Olivia views them. The reality is that while I think that both are no good for her, it is apparent and one of the main forces behind the show- that her and Fitz are soul mates and
really know each other. I mean, did Olivia even know that Jake had a sister or where his mother lived up until this episode?
I loved how Rowan was able to coerce Fitz into letting Olivia see Jake. Him also telling Jake that he was a man of his word, and that he would see him die was another great scene. Unfortunately, he may have done too much considering Olivia was able to keep Jake (for the time being) from being killed.
GAbby was actually likeable this episode. Her staying the night with Olivia was sweet. Her trying to help Olivia was commendable but not the best move for her career. Meh.
Cyrus...
Just leaving his phone around that has vital information?
He's become so sloppy. I was glad that Abby was able to get to the bottom of the situation, and that she told Cyrus that he should be watching his *ahem* 'back door.'
Him being so gullible still doesn't mesh with who his character once was, to me.
It was good to see Huck smile. I had a feeling that him suddenly being into video games pertained to his child. I believe that once he eventually tries to meet up with him, things are not going to go as he planned however.
Quinn was once again showing that despite her being last on the team, and that throughout all of the ish that she has endured, she is the most thorough Gladiator.
This week's scandal with the convicted assassin was good. The scene of him and Olivia talking once she figured out the truth, honestly was one of the creepiest things I saw. Just how fast he switched from being a 'wronged man' to being someone who happily tried to kill a former President was scary.
My favorite parts of the episode were the ones featuring Bitsy. I'm not into this whole Mellie has been so wronged scenario, but it was good to see her engaging with someone who had been in a similar situation. I would not mind if Bitsy became a reoccurring character.
There was a strong emphasis placed on the importance of women during the episode, which I appreciated. From Olivia getting Fitz together when he called Abby a bytch for being forward, to Bitsy telling her story of how it was her who really ran the White House.
All in all, I thought this was an A+ episode. Kinda annoyed that there is only a couple left before the Winter Finale but it is what it is.
