Season 3: Episode 13
I really found myself enjoying the flow of this week's episode. While I do not mind the 'Gladiators' taking on other cases, I was glad that the focus for this week pertained to the shenanigans of the White House.
With Sally becoming more crazed, I did think that she could have ended up being the one who got shot. Kate Burton is such a strong actress- the opening dialogue with her fiercely (practicing) taking a stand against the wrong doings of the President was excellent.
Mellie actually being highlighted as more than an ornament, was good for her character.
I have tried to be understanding of Quinn's character, but this week with her running down Olivia's name, coupled with last week of her pulling a gun on her..eh I'm over it. I do still believe that she will eventually return home, but clearly not as soon.
Olivia...*sigh* I had briefly mentioned in the past how the character was changing, and despite being the lead how it may affect those who are used to rooting for the star of the show.
Maybe it's me, but the writing of Olivia's character is leaving a lot to be desired. She's drinking like a fish (we get it, she loves her wine) and is so desperate for affection that she is willing to physically share herself with someone who she really isn't into. On the plus side, her telling Fitz about all that they do to keep him in the 'castle' did give me shades of the old Olivia.
Jake is a glutton for punishment. Olivia has made it clear numerous times, that if it boils down to him or Fitz, she's choosing the latter.
The ending of the episode was interesting. #whogotshot? I do believe that it was James just because he was revealing inside information. Yet, where would it leave David with being a witness to the murder of 3 people? We all know how he likes to prance around with his 'white hat', but to stay alive he may have to end up being in the dark.
Overall, good episode.
