Kanan is gon be just like his real pops. Getting some young chick pregnant while he’s still young and having an iffy — at best — relationship with his son as we saw in the OG Power.
Howard, to some degree, cares about Kanan either out of guilt, desperation, shame or feeling a void. He just happened to choose to knock up a chick with daddy issue who had a knack for the street life.
We see the Kanan heel turn in real time.
Lou was on some “fùck Raq” shít right in front of the kid’s face and at the party Kanan saw that some of the other hustlers felt the same way.
Even tho Ronnie said his new catchphrase, “fùck Raq” the others said it too. Kanan didn’t even check them — because he was about to say it. After she planted that gun on him that was the last straw after the last straw.

All facts. And those Riq and Kanan parallels get more clear, they've been there since the start but it's Power, they gonna heavy hand that shyt.
Kanan and Riq both want to do their own thing, out from under their parents.
Kanan and Riq both bright kids, Kanan flunked out on purpose, Riq is book smart but he's done with school now after only doing it to get the inheritance but he fukked that up anyway.
Ronnie's gonna probably end up mentoring Kanan in a way he did for Riq.
On a side note something tells me we see young Ghost and Tommy pull up as one of the bike messengers for Kanan.
Right now he has a bunch of young dudes from the area fiending to do deliveries for him and I bet one of the messengers recruits them because they want to make money — the same way Kanan gave that one dude in tonight’s episode the chance to go work for the white dude and he literally said he wants to make real money.
Business will be booming with Ronnie and he needs more messengers. Young Ghost and Tommy pull up and quickly prove their worth beyond being messengers and never get caught.
Kanan lets them move up in the organization and teaches them everything since they are close to his age PLUS they’re easy to get along with unlike the older hustlers he was reluctant to take the pic with at the party.
It just makes sense but young Ghost and Tommy — in Raising Kanan — are far from new primary characters since the focus is on Kanan, Raq and more importantly how Jukebox begins to truly turn evil.
We focus on when will be the moment Kanan does a true heel turn but overlook Jukebox because her mom just died and she’s in a singing group.

-Is Ronnie supposed to be prince and Bunk supposed to be supreme?
- looking by next week episode famous is not going to make it long
- they building juke and Marvin relationship up so when he gets killed she is going to snap
- who is your money on to kill Ronnie and all the other drug dealers I think juke is when she joins the force and hides all the evidence for the family
