It was the batch they got from East New York. That's where Davina's mom keeps going to because their stuff is more potent from what Unique told her. Kanan used too much of it with the batch he cooked not knowing what he had.

Davina literally is about to tell him that Unique prolly coaxed her into giving up info on the stash house and he cuts her off so he could simp some more and basically offer to take care of her baby sister.
And after this crack fiasco, if it somehow gets traced back to him, send his ass to private school. He’s not built for this.
Now i give him a little bit of a pass because of the era. He’s allowed a mistake here and there but in a couple of episodes he started a war over killing a “rival” and then made a batch of crack that has killed at least 5 people
predictable on top of that. still good tho but of the way they build these horrible messes
