Because this isn’t good writing. :dwillhuh: I think you’re just saying since it could happen in real life that it is automatically good.

It’s definitely improved writing from those last couple of seasons of Power though when they went full soap opera fukkery.

It’s a decent to good show so far, depending on the expectations you had going in.
I disagree. It's a damn storyline topic. And how is having a different baby daddy from the person people think it actually is, how is that "soap opera" shyt :dwillhuh:? If you don't like that SPECIFIC thing about the show, why use it to criticize the whole project. It's small as fukk in the storyline right now, it has gotten a total show time of 3-4 fukking minutes of storyline:gucci:

Yo I never even heard of that shyt let alone tried it. I was legit:dwillhuh: when Juke said that.

One thing about any of the power shows is you're guaranteed to get a gratuitous sex scene in every episode.
I'd have to argue that the show began to deteriorate when they moved away from those scenes the last couple of seasons:sas2:

Episode was okay for me. Storyline getting a bit better. The lesbian love story is just dumb though and hopefully they ease up on it now since they been exposed. It's forced and unnecessary

I'm not really into the studio famous angle either. Feels like Empire all over again. Some of the sex scenes are forced and unnecessary as well.

I do like the dynamic between raq her boyfriend and kanan. Brings some redemption back into the plot got a feeling something bad going to happen to the boyfriend though smh

Wasn't really shocked by the twist at the end kinda telegraphed it.

As a fan of great shows like breaking bad the wire etc you just kinda wish the actual street stuff was more dynamic and suspenseful. Watching the legendary shows when crews were beefing you kinda got wrapped up in the game of chess that was being played among the crews they are trying to do the same here but it's so many moves made that the normal person says "well I wouldn't have done that" that it makes the street beefs kinda predictable and common. This was the issue with the last seasons of power as well.

It's not bad enough for me to pull the plug on the show yet but it's on a short leash.
