I guess we are expected to be patient and allow the transition to happen. Like I said before, I’ll reserve judgment. But I understand your perspective as well. It’s a difference between being a beast in the streets and doing what you have to do to eat versus killing your son, your beloved cousin from day-1, and smothering old black women with pillows without flinching one bit.

Yea I'm interested in seeing them tell the story. Kanan and Jukebox turn into savages in Power and the love/family bond that's shown with Marv, Lou Lou and Raq ain't there with them in the future. It's like Kanan started off in a Barksdale-like family where the OGs still had love for nikkas but, somehow he turned into Marlo. Obviously something has to happen to his uncles/mom. Now I think of it, Kanan did say you not a killer until you kill someone you love. So maybe that was just him talking about Shawn but, it also could've been him talking about one of his relatives doing in another relative which could be how their family gets so fukked up in the present.

Breh a origin story of one of the most psychopathic killers turns into some love and hip hop shyt. The love storylines giving this show a very empire-ish vibe. Kanan mom had 2 sex scenes in one episode. This show might flop if it continues like this
