As someone who wanted to get on as a rapper years ago I can say rappers trying to get on pull the illest scavenger moves.
It's the norm for rappers to write to, practice and perform a track that they haven't compensated anyone for. Once you write to it, you can start tricking your mind into thinking like it's yours. Once enough people like it, you try to figure out ways to get compensated for it.
You ever see an interview with a rapper talking about a beat that someone sent him that became a hit for someone else? "That was my beat" it's really wild but the respect just isn't there. Producers have to make sure they get theirs because the rapper isn't thinking about you.
Yeah that shyt is crazy and it's not like dude's song was a hit. shyt barely has 50 views on it. I was surprised to see a copyright strike on my video. Not that I care, I don't monetize my shyt it was just wild to me. The audacity of these rappers.
Something different from my norm, since I sold the SP. Testing out my mixing and testing the Koala Sampler for the time being, until I can get back in full focus hardware mode.

someone revealed the sample Q-Tip used in the new LL track, which reminded me that me and my homeboy used it before and i even spun the block and flipped it again.

im making a short film and i needed some background music for a long driving scene
i really need access to a drone, but ive found a laptop, a broom handle, duct tape, and my buick works pretty well too lol
i need a spooky surf rock song to go with the scenes driving at night so i wrote this
i played the bass and the guitar. the organ is a vst called Odin that i used on Cubase 13. i had to record the bass direct and the guitar in my closet.
i dont really play the drums so theyre kind of basic. i live in an apartment so i cant have a drumset sadly 
its really hard to film here at night, too. i live in the suburbs and the police are bored. you cant drive around a busted old car with a camera duct taped on the roof i guess. they havent caught me yet
ill post the film if i ever finish it. its a lot of work and im not that great at final cut pro
