Hey ya'll. I'm new here, looking to get some people to listen and see what they think of this track, will do the same for yours. I'm the rapper on it, beat is a free to use off youtube. Peace all.

Havin a hard time understanding your words breh.
Not sure if you're 100% committed to that low whisper flow but it isn't working for me.
Appreciate you sharing though.

That sample is crazy
I went thrifting and got this record for a quarter for some keys to sample. Turned out to be the wrong record in there :snoop:
Found a gem on there though :banderas:

You samplin straight from records too? That's dope. I haven't tried it yet. I have a record player in the studio.
I've always stayed away from samples though because I want to be able to put my music for sale on itunes, google play, and all that without any problems.

I'm from the tradition where if you didn't have that vinyl, YOU COULDN'T MAKE THE BEAT!!!
As far as samples, it's part of the game. I was told by a old head long ago just chop it up so much no one can tell what it's sampled from :pachaha:
But stay on your grind, and try some vinyl samples, the sound it 10x better when you load it into your program

Hm, are you not understanding because its too quiet or you can't understand my voice? I've mainly only gotten compliments on my voice and delivery especially, just some suggestions to turn it up, so just curious.

Raising the volume on the vocals might help, and a bit of eq to cut some of the lower frequencies on your voice and boost the higher end a bit to get the vocal to stand out more.
I gave both tracks another listen and it feels like you voice gets over powered by the beat quite a bit and it sounds muddled.
I can see your flow as something that would play in the background at a nice restaurant. (Not meant as a shot against you, just what I thought of when I heard it.)
I hear it as music for a niche crowd at a quiet adult club setting.
I appreciate the unique sound you have artistically.
Your flow/delivery just doesn't connect/resonate with me as far as the type of music I enjoy.
All thoughts given with the utmost respect.

Totally dude. All of that is actually really helpful. I definitely see my stuff as music for a "niche" crowd for sure hahahaha...thanks a lot for the genuine feedback, it really is helpful and means a lot to me. Cheers.

Hey brehs I run a podcast/website www.fteswl.com.

I know you guys put in a lot of time creating your beats and would like some more exposure. I would like to help by having you send 10-15 second snippets of your beats and you can tag the snippets on my podcast episodes. Also the beat needs to be 100% yours we do not want any issues with copywrite infringement nor any issues with beats that do not have any sample clearances to the person who made the original.

Type of beats we are looking for:
Funk
Gospel
Hiphop
Jazz
Trap
Island
Old school
Grime

If you have beats that don't fit our theme but you think may interest us and fit the podcast hit me with a pm.

The snippets you send will be used as transitional music between topics on each podcast episode we usually have between 2-4 music breaks. With the beat let me know the title of the snippet and what you want to be credited as. This way here I can put the name of the beat and who created it in the podcast episode summary.

All we ask in return is that you share the episode your beats is featured on through social media and word of mouth or wherever you post on. This is important for both our brands to get more exposure because we also do marketing whether it's Twitter, ig, fb and soon on YouTube.

If you have any questions let me know. You can send the snippets to this email fteswl@outlook.com

We are on iTunes and SoundCloud here is our SoundCloud www.soundcloud.com/fteswl it would be great if you guys followed us on there and if you like the podcast/website we would love to hear feedback from you or drop a rating/review on iTunes which helps us out a lot. I will also make a thread on this so more people can see.

:salute: looking forward to collaborations with every one of you in the future.
