It would've been if I hadn't gotten fully tired of Ospreay's no-selling. It feels like unless it's a spot Ospreay will no-sell every kick, strike or chop and just immediately hit his opponent back. He puts in zero effort to make it look as if rhe "small offense" is wearing him down, it gets annoying as hell.
A lot of these dudes no sell. fukkin Ishii does it a lot. It’s Fighting Spirit. :troll:

ok, Breh, dude is an “exception” because that’s his “gimmick.” :skip:

But the no selling issue is spread around. Honestly, I barely notices until you pointed it out.

This is a good talking point. In puro no selling is part of the style but I do believe there's a very thin line on when or how a wrestler does it. I also believe how much one is bothered by it depends on how much you like (or dislike) a wrestler though :pachaha:.

Ishii is the stone pitbull. Literally every match he is in features stiffer chops and strikes than almost any other match. I wouldn't say no-selling is his gimmick because he does sell, but the whole presentation of him is like chopping away at a block of concrete.

My problem with Ospreay's no selling is entirely that he literally does not react to some strikes and just immediately counters it. If that happened once it's not a big deal but entire middle sections of his matches feature this repeatedly.

I think the biggest general problem with no-selling in NJPW is the match layout with some talent, especially when it involved limbs getting worked. A lot of those 40-60 minute Okada championship matches featured a good amount of his arm or leg getting worked up until some point where he would suddenly completely drop it and it becomes clear that whole opening section was padding.

Also see how different wrestlers sell Tanahashi hitting them with six Dragon Screws. Most actually sell the leg injury but some only act like it is a reset transition move.

True, longer matches make no selling more noticeable and/or bothersome because they have more control sections and work on body parts to fill in time. So when people shrug it off it's way more likely to annoy watchers than when it's a 10-15 minute match were the no sell can be seen as just part of a sprint or just a tiny portion of what the match was about.

This why i fukks w White-O getting :dead: whenever he is in a strike exchange. I mean its funny as shyt :mjlol: but also very different from what everyone else on the roster does. These nikkas are super human status getting dropped square on there head only to "ahhhhhhhh" like an anime and proceed to fukk the other guy up who will be doing the same shyt shortly.

Ishii/Shin-Ibushi/Suzuki should be the only guys doing this type of shyt imo.

I totally forgot B-Block was today. First G1 day I didn't watch live this year. As a SANADA Stan that might have been for the best. :francis:
