Finished Black Summer S2. Better season than the first. They should retcon that it's a part of the Z-Nation universe though. Feels nothing like it.

I'm glad Sun made it but it probably won't last if the show is renewed for S3.

I loved the Spears episode. Usually shows can't pull off the ambiguous mystical experience shyt they always try but the dude they got to play his friend killed it. That drunk fire camp scene felt real.

Black Summer Season 2 was flames!

I honestly don’t even remember how season 1 ended but I remember feeling like it started with a banger (ep 1 cinematography) then tailored off/went off the rails as the season went on... whereas season 2 I felt they kept it heat rocks from start to finish. Felt more focused, interconnected, and tense throughout. And gave some great character studies.

For example, the episode with the brehs at the campfire was unexpected but powerful. I’d say everyone involved in this season acted they asses off something serious. The cinematography, violence, and savagery were A1 as well, gave me some The Last of Us type vibes.

Don’t think there needs to be a 3rd season with how things wrapped up here but I guess time will tell

Katla pretty good. These european shows are much better at slow burn thriller/suspense shyt than US shows.

I can't get rid of the nagging feeling that if "Marco Polo" came out now, it would have been a big hit.
I feel like the world is ready for that show now in a way that they weren't when Game of Thrones was still on.

Marco Polo just wasn't that good tho

That Kevin Hart movie is incredibly sad. I almost wish they used different cinematography on it. Like it was very bright and vibrant, but the subject matter was doom and gloom.

Before this I've only seen the anime and the first movie. Still recognized the characters by name and design though. I don't think it'll make it less enjoyable if you're not familiar with the series.

But if you got a funimation sub the first three movies are on there, if you don't the streamer hands out free trials like candy. Recently got a three month sub just off being a loyal Playstation Plus member
