What I'm seeing is that if you're interested in that genre, but you're not emotionally attached to the anime, its good.
But people who are already fans of the anime HATE it.

The main criticism seems to be that they've ruined some well-loved characters. Since I have no real attachment to the original characters, I actually like the "ruined" versions because I don't know any better.

I feel live action anime will never satisfy its hardcore fans. But this doesn’t seem as bad as others

Been watching Supercrooks. It's vastly superior to Jupiter's Legacy, but set in the same universe. I read the books earlier this year,

That theme though:banderas:. Reminds me a lot of 3121 era Prince. It's by the DJ from Deee-Lite. Same guy Tribe sampled for 'Find A Way'

50 Dollar Baby starring Halle Barry was not a good watch. .5% fight scenes, 50% “Halle Barry saying lookhow in shape I am at 55 years old” and 45% - trauma porn and agenda addendums. 4.5/10- the little 6 year old boy did a more effective job with his acting skills during the entire movie, staying silent.
Yeah, nothing memorable hear. She is in great shame tho, also directed this.

This popped up today, some danish movie with Elves. 6 episodes only about 22 minutes each, so will give it a try shortly. Maybe some killer elves going at people that disrespect the land or something, no idea. Not really great ratings.

New stuff pops up on Netflix at 3am Eastern it looks like.

Good looks. Didn’t know they drop new stuff at 3a- thx. I’m actually watching Elves now too - it came up in my reccs after I finished “True Story” - I wanted something “christmassy-scary” to watch although I think since Elves is rated TV14 and has kids in lead roles- it might be more RL Stine kid friendly thriller than say, Blumhouse/James Wan scary. The preview looks interesting so I’ll give it a try. I’ve been watching some deep dark violent movies lately- I need the balance.

This screenshot reminds me of Gremlins - maybe it’s the Danish version of the OG Gremlins or Ghoulies.

Reading the reviews- I’m passing on watching this. I’m tired of zombies, they’re exhausting that subgenre and zombie elves???- that’s a NoPe. Sounds dumb as hell.
:mjlol::deadmanny:

Netflix’s Killer Elves Who Feast on Human Flesh
“Thus, she sneaks off to the fence, where she discovers a tiny injured elf whom she brings back to a nearby barn, nurses back to health, and names Kee-Ko. With a pointy head covered in wisps of hair, matching spiky ears, and giant dark eyes, the pint-sized woodland animal looks like a creepier version of a Troll doll, and it swiftly takes to Josefine, who does her best to play mommy to this baby. Josefine’s maternal instincts, alas, far outpace her common sense, and after introducing Kee-Ko to Kasper, the elf is found by Møller and redeposited behind the fence.

As it turns out, Møller works alongside shopkeeper Karen (Ann Eleonora Jørgensen) and her granddaughter Liv (Vivelill Søgaard Holm) as guardians of Årmandsø, which has long been inhabited by the elves, who must be locked away behind the electrified wall lest they overrun and devour the human population”

Is there an english dubbed on the flick
Dude don’t watch the dubbed version-it’s not going to give you the same viewing experience or translate the same nuance in the English language.

Listen to it in Spanish and read the English subtitles - after awhile you’ll be able to catch on to the phrases and certain words you will be able to understand without the English captions. Watching dubbed versions of voice actors are like:

Yeah, was getting tired of Zombies myself. I'm a completist type but I gave up on the last season of Walking Dead. Too many seasons.

Now, a recent Zombie movie I finally watched after hearing so many good reviews, Train to Busan on Netflix. This is a good one.

94/89 on Rotten Tomatoes - Train to Busan

They're doing an American remake of this, which probably won't be as good as the original

This is one of the best- saw it like 10x over the course of the past 2 years. The American remake with James Wan is in progress - allegedly called “Last Train to New York”. There’s also a Train to Busan sequel called Peninsula- not as good as the original but watchable.
New Line Taps Timo Tjahjanto To Direct ‘Train To Busan’, Its Remake Of South Korean Box Office Hit

Hated The Walking Dead- stuck that series in basura status after the second season. Played on my nerves with all of the unlikable characters and overly dramatic plotlines

But I loved this though-Z Nation
