Also, Butler will turn 35 at the start of training camp.

I don't know what his contract situation is/how many years left, but he's at a crossroads... bc winning a title just isn't happening with Miami as they are now. And not sure there's going to be a move that can be done this summer that will change that. At the same time, he's had such volatile pit stops with other teams since leaving CHI (MIN, PHI) that maybe it's not worth leaving MIA in pursuit of a true title contender.
