I hate when you steal the ball and you're well on your way to an easy fast break transition dunk/layup, then you press the post up button by accident slowing the fast break down, and the defender running behind you gets back on defense stopping the easy fast break bucket.

also, is it me, or is it MUCH harder to play on ball defense this year?

The on-ball defense is improved in my opinion. They give you the ability to step in any direction to cut off driving lanes. They give you a meter indicating good defensive position by being green or red. They give you a defensive assistance button that you can lightly hold or press harder for more assistance. They added the verticality animation on transition breaks. The thing about 2k tho is you play 22 seconds of good defense then they just allow them to pass it right to the guy under the hoop for an easy two. Most shots/dunks/layups are blockable...I don't see why the defense would be a problem. Sometimes I feel like I'm not rewarded by playing good defense because they allow them to do some bullshyt @ the last second making my defensive stand for 20+ seconds worthless.

gotta put the defensive assist to 100.its automatically at 0 when u play the gm.
I saw some improvements, although I only put it 55

I'm about ten games into my season(superstar level cause I'm sure if I played HOF i would have ran up in 2k offices with the fury of 100 Martyrs) and this game has so much bullshyt in it that I'm at the point of not playing it until a patch comes out this shyt SO BROKEN

How does the entire team move at a speed completely faster than you? No matter center or point guard CPU gives no fukks no matter who you guarding YOU CANT KEEP UP CPU don't care what angles you take nor hedge I don't understand 2K supposed to be all about sim and realism yet each year it's get further and further from those roots.

I am convinced they didn't do any play testing for this game before it was released I don't know how anyone could play this and ignore these glaring issues.

I know I'm ranting but tonight was the final straw Im playing the 76ers and they giving me that work and I have the Spurs

Edit: Let me also say that I really want to break this game when you play great defense you even get the CPU to miss and you sent your entire team to crash the boards but somehow the CPU always just happens to be at the EXACT spot the ball is going to bounce off the rim rebounds the ball over 4 of your CPU teammates and kicks it out to does it really fukking matter jersey number fukk you you already know how this story ends

in comparison eric gordan is an 80 with 8 with a 1 year 15 mil

Been playing the game for about a week.
Its my first nba game since 2k 11, haven't played much of it in the last 3 years


the graphics and presentation is amazing to me so far. I guess since coming from 11 its a bigger jump to me than the guys coming from 15. But the presentation is the best part of the game so far. (although the suits that earnie, and shaq wear look more like cardigans than actual suits )

Im playing on pro, but I cant imagine the level of bullshyt in the harder levels. Its hard enough playing on ball D. But when the computer wants to score it doesn't matter what u do

I'm staying my ass away from online until I can beat the computer more regularly, sounds like im nowhere prepared for the online cheese yall talking about

I can't count how many times I've lost major leads due to ppl just yolo'ing with some OP player like MJ or Lebron. The cheese this game allows for scrubs is unreal

You gotta be patient and lead your man into it. Its very precise. And you also have to pay attention to the hedge man. If he jumps up and hedges hard, just race over or hit the roller. If he sags off in the paint, pull up for that midrange
