This game is like a love letter to the game of basketball. Never could've imagined a game being made like this coming from the Genesis & Super Nintendo era... This game rewards you for making the extra pass & calling plays to get open as oppose to isolation hero ball - I've learned that the hard way by getting locked up by MCW and having a few possessions end in shot clock violations.... Also, you take a major hit in stamina when dribbling too much, which of course has an effect on jumpers. It really is a game within a game thinking about it....

My favorite addition this year beyond all of the more flashier shyt, albeit a small one, is players' no longer picking up their dribble on step backs - that little added wrinkle to the game sums up what this year's game seems to be all about - not being stagnant, and constantly moving.

Rose's beautiful high arcing floaters & teardrops are enough to bring a tear to my eye :mjcry:.

the crowd AI is fukkin terrible. you would think after all these years they could have more realistic crowds. we still got this dated shyt with half the crowd doing the same exact animations. and why after the game the players just stay on the court. have em walking to the locker room or something. when do players just stand around on the court after the buzzer sounds. aside from that i'm enjoying this shyt. just need to work on my play calling.

I'm waiting on your opinion of it :lupe:

My friend has it and said that dudes stay blowing dunks and have some slow ass wind ups to allow people to challenge shyt.
It's looking like the best 2k in years and I'm usually one to call them out on bullshyt. Less cheesy, pace is slowed down, feels realistic in that regard

Post game seems underdeveloped, but it's a work in progress. Maybe I just need to practice it more. I don't like having to hold down L2 the whole time, that's dumb

Passing is great once you learn how to incorporate all the passing modes. Ask @houston911 about the clinic I put down with 2005 Nash :ohlawd:

It's a lil too difficult to create space for jumpers I think, and to take someone off the dribble without using a pick.

Your friend is wrong about the slow windups and missed dunks. He's just being lazy and not executing the correct type of layup or dunk for the situation probably. There's a time and a place for a flashy dunk, if you try that shyt in traffic, it's going to get blocked. I will say the block ratio feels high in general, but at that same time feels realistic. If your timing is on point, you should rack up blocks

All in all, it's day 2 and I like it. And it usually only gets better once you play it more and learn all the intricacies
