Is the server down? I keep getting an error when I try to go into MyCareer saying the save file could not be downloaded from the server.

If you want it for anything online related (playing onlilne, and the MyPlayer/MyCareer/MyGm shyt), then you may want to wait. If you want it for offline stuff (playing the CPU, MyLeague), then it's great.
Yup, the Roster and Sliders out of the box are always wonky. I always wait to start my franchise until A. a good roster set is done, and B. a good slider set is done. I usually use this dude's sliders. They always play well.
I played my first full game last night, Bucks vs. 76ers (battle of the bums). 9 minutes, Superstar/Sim sliders. Game went into OT, and I lost (well, woulda lost, cut it off when the L was guaranteed) like 68-64. Both of us shot like 40%. Shooting is hard. I missed around 65-70% of my free throws. Yes, FREE THROWS. if I could make a damn free throw, I woulda won. I was always "just early" or "just late". Never perfect, and it was clank after clank.
I'm probably in the minority in actually liking how hard the shooting is. Hopefully it means we can get rid of the 130-125 games that happened far too often in the past. Of course, the key is getting the CPU to not be automatic. With good sliders, that shouldn't be a problem, and this game will be a blast. For me anyways.
Just like a Black person. Worrying about how they lookSony finally sent me my 10,000 VC points from preordering..I'm ready to get my skills up and cop some Js
It mostly has to do with the ATTRIBUTES. The attributes change the ratings of the players depending on which way you go. Usually* the lower difficulties boost the human attributes and nerf the CPU attributes, while the higher ones do the reverse. So what happens is you can play the Bucks with no player over 80, yet on HOF they're all basically morphed into 99s (or in that area) in game. The other ones are important too, but making sure the players play to their ratings is the big deal for me.What sliders are usually tweaked? I have never messed with the sliders as long as I've played 2K
jwill is a good dude. he been making sliderrs since forever. dude knows 2k's system inside and out. they shoulda hired him along with the other few OS people they've hiredIf you want it for anything online related (playing onlilne, and the MyPlayer/MyCareer/MyGm shyt), then you may want to wait. The sliders that I like using, what dude does is figures out how big the boosts/nerfs for HOF are, and adjusts them accordingly so that ratings for all the players remain as close to their actual ratings as possible. The CPU will play better, your shot windows are smaller, ect., only you don't have to deal with playing an All-Star team every single game.
*I just went into the Slider section, and no matter what level I choose, all the attributes and such all say the same, which is odd. Some of the other slider settings change when you switch from Casual/Default/Simulation, but mostly all of the attributes stay at 50. I wonder if that was done by design? That's pretty curious, cause usually all the attributes get boosted.
finally got my 5kvc from my preorder...im already 11 games in tho rated 73 i might stick it out with the hornets for my career or go to philly or detroit idk yet
