Been listenin to Stillmatic:fire::boss: 14 years later it still makes the cypher complete:ohlawd:

...My country shytted on me She wants to get rid of me Cuz the things I've seen:damn:

Lowkey, Blitz held his on Every Ghetto, tho: I'm just reality loaded with stories:wow:

I don't know why, but I was randomly thinking about Stillmatic for the last few days. Been meaning to load it on my phone. Dude has such a deep and varied catalog that sometimes I literally forget some of the great shyt he's done.

Blitz spit a great verse on "Every Ghetto," but Nas's "My skin is an art gallery," verse is my favorite part of that record.

Stillmatic Intro might be in my top ten Nas songs.

Lowkey, Blitz held his own on Every Ghetto: I'm just reality loaded with foul stories:wow:

My country has always been a 5/5 song for me :obama:
But low key Rule is one of the most underated song in NaS classics. "How can the president fix other problems when he
ain't fixed home yet" :ohhh:

"Ain't nothin without struggle, listen up, it's critical
We used to fear arms, now the weapons are
chemical
In Hip-Hop, the weapons are lyrical
To be the best you challenge the best, then the
blessings are spiritual" :damn: :ahh:

Is "I Am" the most unfairly shytted on album ever? Revisiting now, and I can't think of another album with this many great songs that's considered a creative flop. NYSOM Pt. 2, Hate Me Now, Favor For a Favor (with Scarface going back-and-forth), Small World, Nas Is Like, Undying Love, etc. :patrice: These are some of my favorite Nas songs ever.

It's my FAVORITE Nas album. Not his best, but it's my favorite. I felt it was his most well rounded album.

i feel you its his second most underrated album after hhid but his most rounded? Nah i think Stillmatic is nas most rounded album , starting with a classic intro to his battleing skills (Ether,Destroy &Rebuild) to his lyrical skills (One mic&Got ur self...) to his mind blowing concept track(Rewind) to his soulful track(youre da man) to his political tracks(Rule and My country) to his kicking priceless knowledge(2nd Childhood ,What goes around) to his street classic(Every ghetto) :wow:

This man is G.O.A.T :blessed: :ahh: :ahh:

Am I the ONLY one who fukks with Nas verse on "Grand Finale"?

Hot corners, cops with warrants, every block is boring
Friday night, getting bent, liquor pourin'
My dawg, not even home a month yet, and blaze a girl
In the stomach, he robbin nikkas who pumpin
Lil' Blood got popped, by the group home cat
Everybody nervous in the hood, pullin they gats
Fiend yellin out, who got those? Go and see
Shorty snot-nosed, he don't floss but he got dough

Thug faces, fugitives runnin from court cases
Slugs shootin past for the love of drug paper
Queens cap peelers, soldiers, drug dealers
And God'll throw a beam of lightning down cause he feel us
May the next one, strike me down if I'm not the realest
The Mayor wanna call the SWAT team to come and kill us
But, dawgs are friends, if one see the morgue, one'll live
To get revenge,
and we ride to the end
Bravehearts blow the lye with Henn, and still rise
Took alive with live men, my man got three six-to-eighteen's
And only five in, the Belly of the beast
Didn't wanna hear the shyt I tried to tell him on the streets
It's irrelevant, the beast love to eat black meat
And got us nikkas from the hood, hangin off his teeth
We slangin to eat, bringin the heat
Bulletholes, razor scars is the pain in the street, huh

ripped it :wow:

The verse was hot, but I could never get into this song for whatever reason. Belly is one of my favorite flicks, but the soundtrack never did much for me. :yeshrug:
