Nas showing love to Hit on the gram.

We need a King's Magic Disease right about now :mjcry:
I want Hit-Boy to Executive Produce all of Nas' albums. Get Preme and Nas together for an album EPed by Hit. Kanye, Nas album EPed by Hit. Pharrell, Nas, etc etc etc. Hit-Boy just knows how to get Nas into the groove (pause) and get projects done.

I could genuinely see them getting the band back together in a few years. Hell I wouldn’t be mad if after this Premo album Nas got Hit-Boy, Metro, Conductor, and a few other producers together to drop a project.

Yeah I mean at this point I would personally prefer if Nas worked with newer younger producers
They can bridge the gap to get him to sound modern without miscasting who he is, and in turn as young producers they end up doing the reps and learning how to do more "Classical traditional" hip hop

the older producers that they want him to work with either :

dont have it (to the standards of the people who want him to work with them ironically)

or

Will take a very long time to finish the work (Premier, Q-Tip, Pete Rock, Dre)

Unless its a vet like Al who works regularly and is a bit more diverse than we realize

I remember the video of him at that music conference thing or whatever and him just playing the record like whatever months before Untitled dropped. Did the rounds on the blogs

Yo those producers needed to stop playing shyt before its out or Nas records it. At least Nas knew it was hot enough to put on the Green Lantern mixtape but generally dudes be leaking what they did and he leaves it no matter how hot.

Everyone saw that shyt with 9th in 2009. As hot as that beat was, in retrospect I hope he realizes how corny it was for him to do that. Had his man with a t-shirt talmbout "Come on Nas" (:dame:)

Nas and Eminem both come to mind as two artists that hurt themselves by releasing wacker material on albums like I Am and Encore because it hadn't leaked and left better songs off their albums because they had leaked. They would have ultimately been better off releasing the stronger songs, bootlegged or not.

To compare I Am and Encore is insane to me. I Am was fire. Both versions. Encore was dirt. I Am sold a bunch of records, was critically praised and the streets fukked with it.

The I am story is well known and the retail ended up being fire anyway.

Eminem was always overrated and Encore just exposed that fact. Comparing Eminem’s discography to Nas’s is an insult to Hip Hop
