It feels like we don't really get these types of pictures with newer artists. Or at least something that feels I guess authentic like this or like a moment captured in time.
Agreed. In my opinion, in that photo you got the greatest mc of all time and 2 top 5 greatest producers of all time.

This is a legendary photo.

Ether was trending earlier :heh: . I swear Jay has the worst stans I've ever seen. They'll sit there try to rewrite history even though half of em wasn't born or in diapers:dead:. Ether hurt them more than it did Jay:mjlol:

Why was it trending?

🥲, I’m madd old yo, 😭, fukk smh. I still vaguely remember hearing this shhit for the first time in back of my older brother’s boy’s Acura at like 9 and thinking “I’m not bisexual, I’m an intellectual / in rap I’m a professional, and that’s no question yo” was the most mind-blowing lyrics/anything in general I’d ever heard and ever would hear, lol. I heard other sh!t before Illmatic but 3rd-4th grade type shhit is when you start kinda growing out of the little little kid shhit…that was my album for real, I probably didn’t go a day from like 8 or 9 to 14 or sumn without playing that album, 😳, crazy.

Best hip hop album ever imo, might be a couple you can argue are better musically but just as a whole, everything Nas and that album represented…it’s TBE

I agree with her though. Kendrick better come with Ether or he's done. Real Ether. shyt that makes people twist up their face. Chris Rock Bring the Pain type shyt. Just bars, quotables and just mean shyt.

Kendrick ain't capable of an Ether, he ain't witty enough, too robotic, i doubt he could come with a Story of Addidon either.

The comedic element of what it takes to make a classic diss track is what Kendrick lacks, and word play wise he isn't as clever as a Lupe or even Pusha T imo.

Ain’t this Anthony Saleh (Nas’ guy and manager for years and also Kendrick’s now)

I doubt he’d be brought in but Nas may go join the Kendrick team if his people being brought in

Its funny..because I thought about how Ant role in this. He was managing Future at one point, too. When Future and Drake did their tour. Never pictured Ant to be the type to press go on this. Its interesting...

And Nas way too grown to participate in these shenanigans..

Ant is one of the best managers in music. I'd imagine he's having some wild phone calls right now. Kendrick and Drake are both on UMG. I'm sure a generic rap battle might appeal to label people but it's still two of their top 10 investments going at it in a way that could have career implications. I don't think Kendrick or Drake cares about that obviously, they're gonna go at it hard.

But for Kendrick...not that I think it happens but if he got murked in a battle how does he come back this summer to do an album. I'm sure it'll sell but it'll be J Cole territory where your shyt won't hit the same anymore. Flip side I don't think Drake takes any damage even if he loses in resounding manner. Rules don't apply to that fukkboy.
