And sorry for being off topic here but I don't really fukk with the other threads.. Bumped onto some sick shyt and figured I'd share it with Nas thread fam.
2023 been ass but between Mick Jenkins (AOTY) & Soul Assassins 3 it's actually feeling quite BETTER this past week. Both these albums pretty dense, though SA3 kinda uneven but still has great moments.
And just when I thought I was good for the week, someone shared this album on twitter, I clicked out of curiosity, it started directly on track 2 and I almost fell off my chair. By the time track 4 came in I was sold. And at the end of my first listen I copped the vinyl, he only has 80 of them.
Dude has barely 1k views average on YouTube and I refuse to believe he cant take it to the next level. Sound is very eclectic, can be pure Hip-hop but also jazzy, very Roy Ayers like, has lots of funk/soul/disco elements too. Anyway, just hope dude keeps on getting his name out there and gets to work with more big names like on this album. I'll let y'all check for yaselves but I'm definitely happy I discovered his music before he goes mainstream, if ever.
