I gotta disqualify biggie off two albums only, same way I would have disqualified nas if his only two albums had been illmatic and it was written.. you hungry at your start. But how do you maintain that hunger……and body of work….

When Big was alive, I thought it was too close to call. I just liked Nas more. But 2 albums deep? Now it's just disrespectful.

Biggie only having two albums isn't his fault though. And the two albums that he dropped aren't just any two albums. One is Ready To Die and the other is Life After Death. The only thing that Biggie accomplished that Nas has yet to to do is a classic double album. We might've gotten that with I Am... had it dropped as a double album, but no one knows how that album would've turned out. The concept is genius, but what songs would've made it and which ones would've been cut. There's possibly songs we've never heard or even know about.
That said, I personally have Nas over Biggie. Nas was always better lyrically. I think they were pretty much even overall by the time LAD dropped. Then Nas hit his second prime with that Stillmatic, Lost Tapes, God's Son run. There's Distant Relatives and Life Is Good. Now there's the run with the KD and Magic series. Nas has now reached levels that I can honestly say no other MC has.
I am not a fan of Dre production. Its always been just ok to me. Yeah he got some joints ,but....
This is old. Before Dre suffered his aneurism.
I was thinking it was part of the “secret” project Nas was hinting at heavily during the Kings Disease promo but like EVERYTHING with Dre we’ll probably never know

Always been just ok? Always? Nah breh. Maybe since the mid 00s yeah. But his late 80s through to early 00s run was impeccable.
He don’t “got some joints” he got back to back genre defining classics.
