Star &Buck was to Star was the first I heard say they couldn't play the Stillmatic freestyle because Jay/ Def Jam put in the word:scust:

You guys should listen to Miss Jones DC interview. Trip down memory lane for people like us who were listening to the 4radio at that time. Thank god Power 105.1 took away Hot 9's strangle hold on the game. So many gems in that interview; the Jay vs Nas beef, Star vs Envy beef, her beef with Wendy plus reconciliation. Sounds like she and Monie Love had some type of tryst with Pac, and she had a deep connection with Pun. Don't have time for stamps.

who are all these clouty-ass hip hop news reporters saying this "2Pac diss" leaked 25 years later? In the fukking description, I said the song was originally released in 2002 on a mixtape with no fanfare 2520 Unduplicated Unreleased Classics, Freestyles & Beats (2002, CDr) and then it got picked up on the mixtape circuit, specifically on a DJ Cashis Kay Mixtape in 2014 erroneously named as "Squeeze (unreleased)" The Book Of Nasir, Chapter 1 | Nas Blends - DJ Cashis Kay If you listen to the original version, it didn't even have the lyrics from "the message" scratched into the record, fukking DJ Cashis Kay scratched those lyrics as the chorus into the song. I uploaded that song as a throwaway-upload on a 3rd channel with like 500 subs with the original song in the link and then it somehow accumulated 22k views ever since all these clickbait articles started popping up. I just put this on the Nas thread for the real fans to listen to but then it got debauched into some other thread saying it was a 2pac diss and then it blew up for the wrong reasons instead of just the lyricism for it being an unreleased song. This is why people don't deserve nice things like this, they fukking try to monetize it with clouty clickbait titles coming from questionable hip hop websites whenever there is a dead period in the hip hop news cycle, smh

These guys really have no journalistic integrity and botch up the simplest facts when I already wrote them in the video description, distort them, just to make clickbait so people can debate back and forth and then discretion tv can also make a video about it, smh

Great job giving Nas negative press
what do you mean? controversy always sells records. why did you think nas named his albums hip hop is dead and untitled? If Nas wasn't feeling some type of way, he wouldn't have put 2Pac's name in a song, and this isn't the first time either

this shyt is probably going to die down within a month or so

At the end of the day nobody really cares except for hardcore internet Tupac fans and Hip Hop stans like us. This isn’t moving no needle for Nas one way or the other when it comes to the press. Pac been dead. At this point we ALL know there was a brief moment of tension between Pac and Nas but ultimately they were big fans of one another and had mutual respect enough to peace it up IN PERSON and put it aside.

This.

There is no gotcha here. Nas and Pac "had words cause the best supposed to clash at the top" OPENLY so this shyt leaking (in the early 00's already) is just affirmation of what we knew already.

We had words 'cause the best supposed to clash at the top
But kept it brotherly, when we seen each other and stopped
In NYC, at MTV, people watched
We was both deep, after you left, I got no sleep

Do DJ Premier and Nas not ever talk to each other now?

Has that relationship gone so sour, that Premo has gone as low as

I just hate to hear a wasted beat

Nas would've killed this

Nas did interview where he implied him and Premier made some music recently and part of an upcoming project

also Premier was promoting/ doing stories about King’s Disease

so think they’re good!
