Another narrative that needs to get squashed is that Damian Marley Ate Nas up on every song on Distant Relatives. That is far from the truth and I feel like a narrative that I have seen some from some people. Damian Marley and Nas both ate on that album. Damian Marley had stronger verses on some songs and nas had stronger verses on some songs. If anything Nas versatility for going into Damians lane should be applauded.

It was always a bullshyt narrative by people that preferred to pick apart music and not enjoy it. Pound for pound thats my fav. project in Nas’ entire catalog. If im not mistaken Damian produced all of the songs which of course leans more toward his lane but thats a one of a kind album and both brought out the best in each other.

It was always a bullshyt narrative by people that preferred to pick apart music and not enjoy it. Pound for pound thats my fav. project in Nas’ entire catalog. If im not mistaken Damian produced all of the songs which of course leans more toward his lane but thats a one of a kind album and both brought out the best in each other.
I agree Damian killed the album too. I hate when people try to act like he ate Nas up. They both worked very well together.

That album was more crafted musically to fit Damien's style, which leads some people to think he came off better.
