shyt sounds tough, like some 99-01 era Nas. I'm worried about that joint tho cuz the second a producer posts a snippet online, Nas usually scraps it. Hopefully that ain't the case because that shyt is hard. That skin bubble line had me goin
I hate to say it but thats so True. Can anyone name any Nas song that was leaked like this that ended up on an album? I can't. Not in a long ass time. Looks like that will be a Lost Tape song. The tracks that Timbalan leaked didn't make no album, Swizz track didn't make no album, Just Blaze track didn't make no album. To me, the last one that was leaked like that, and correct me if I'm wrong, was "Who Are You".
Nas hasn't really released an album to really gauge this though. Nasir was the Kanye album and other than that, there was Lost Tapes 2.
The Just Blaze snippet was all there was at the time because according to Just, Nas left before he finished the verse/song.
Exactly. Nas hasnt dropped a full length album since life is good. So its nothing really to judge that on. G Code and Anthony Saleh who are his managers were in there. So I'm sure hit boy reached out to nas to play the snippet.
The last Nas song that leaked that ended up making an album was ironically enough Black Republican from HHID. The Gomez brothers leaked it weeks before the album released and apparently fukked up big plans Nas and Def Jam had for it. They were supposed to get Spike Lee to direct a video...

Why would his managers be in the IG chat if they didn't know the snippet was gonna play. It's good promo in terms of keeping your name alive. This is how rap works now. Glad to see them moving like this.
Swizz was promoting the battle and is friends with all these dudes too...he either suggested the snippet be played or supported it. And of course Swizz played a snippet of new Nas a few months ago with Dream and Alicia Keys.

Nas likes Royce though. He's said that many times. I just think the right moment for a Royce collab would have passed because that window to be inspired to spit with someone like Royce is a lot smaller these days.
