Has anyone received their lost tapes 2 from Nas site? If so, did they send you a shipping notice when they shipped it?

It still kills me he didnt just build ideas with No ID and release another joint in 2014

Hell I still think whatever Nas shelved in 2016 couldnt have been that bad. He was rapping very well on guest verses that year (Sickness, march madness, nas album done. Echo was recorded then. Joshua Hip Hop Kyambo was in charge of mixing the album and liked what he heard)

I wished he hadnt had takent that 6 year break and then done wrong with Kanye and been a little bit more smart with how LT2 was compiled

Judging from Nas's most recent interview and the interviews from 2014-2016, we didn't get a Nas album because:

1) He hates being in the studio

2) He wanted to live outside of the music

3) He was busy celebrating Illmatic

4) He had his business ventures

If I had to guess, there may not be a whole lot of songs that Nas completed during that era. A lot of it is probably unfinished ideas that he hasn't revisited since recording them.

Nas had work with Timbaland that Nas himself described as powerful. Large Professor spoke highly of the songs too. Why we haven't heard them, who knows? He decided that "Skat Attack" was the first inheard song we'd hear in full from LT2 even though he did videos for other songs from it. He released Nasir, which was 7 songs recorded within weeks before releasing the album he'd been working on for years.

I feel where hes coming from about Illmatic and that interview is dope

I am somewhat nervous for Nas and what he does next musically. Obviously Im a fan and like most of his stuff and liked Lost tapes 2 and even Nasir I dont hate

But hes been absolutley run through the mud the past 2 years and the overscrutiny of not just the beats narrative but what he says and rhymes like has been tough. and the critics arent as on his side as before and with dwindling support across streams and sales, hes gotta have something real special to get his props back. Im tired of seeing the slander

I would rather he take his time and find the right inspiration, production team and rollout if he does. I dont mind if he waits a couple of years. But now spend those years with the right album execs (Bring No ID he knows what to do) and really use Mass Appeal right for a rollout (none of this promote the album after its fallen off the charts shyt)

Is he gonna find that inspiration though? He's enjoying life and making money. Doesn't like being in the studio, has left multiple sessions unfinished...maybe it's time to realize he's just not focused on music. Some dudes enjoy the creative process and want to use up as much energy as possible to get it done. Nas isn't that type of artist and I don't see him changing.

Nor does he care about the criticism from haters, or from critical fans like me. I think he'll do one more studio album, because I doubt he wants to go out the game with Nasir being his last album. After that...it's prob a wrap...
