The RZA + Swizz thing is the same as the album that Nas has been working on for years.

If this is the same album, then what about the work that hip hop provided? The beats? The direction? IF RZA and/or Swizz are producing, are they relying on Hip Hop for beats? I think not. I believe its another change in direction for Nas... unless Hip Hop pushed him over to Kanye.

Nas said he'd been working with Swizz and he'd been in the studio with RZA. Not much else is known aside from Swizz posting "Swizz + RZA= Nas coming soon". Even the Swizz/Nas album was born out of the album that he's been working on. We don't know whether Nas changed direction or not. He's been working on this album for like 6 years, so for all we know, this album could be a culmination of songs that have been recorded over the past 6 years. The Swizz/RZA sessions are just the more recent sessions.

Thats your opinion.

Stillmatic had the GREATEST diss record in Hip Hop history on it (arguable if you wanna day No Vaseline) one of the GREATEST intros, and one of the DOPEST storytelling tracks of all time (Second Childhood) not to even mention the impact that One Mic had on the culture.

IWW is phenomenal. I only take off points for the hook on Nas Is Coming and because i can’t personally stand the beat on Black Girl Lost (the lyrics are fire. Dirty Harry’s Living Legends version placing the lyrics over Bobby Valentino’s Tell Me is dope)

Untitled is better than IWW in my opinion because Nas absolutely NAILED the concept and dropped so many truths and gems. That album is the definition of a MATURE Hip Hop album that was unafraid to dissect the roots of racism in this country

Fam I said Stillmatic deserves 5 mics. Rewind alone is prolly one of the greatest displays of lyrical storytelling of all time to me. Lol. But still. I Gave You Power fam? The Message? Take It In Blood etc etc. If Stillmatic deserves a 5. Than IWW DEF deserves a 5.

Listened to the joe burden podcast from Saturday and mal mentioned that he talked to hip hop and he said that echo is from those sessions before he he started on the Kanye project. He said the album which is still dropping has a lot echo style tracks. He did say that album is still coming
