Did people just fall off the LT2 band wagon or something? There is no talk about that. Nas has supposedly been busy but ain't nothing coming out.

His book and didn't he sign something with XBox? Street tv shows and music? There has been nothing from Mass Appeal although his has access to all his Sony vaults again. He is off Def Jam. Yes, he did The Get Down and that shyt was dope and he did bless us with the Illmatic Symphony but Damn Nas! .

Ya’ll need to let that Jay/Nas shyt go.

Just let it GO brehs.

These nikkas done did songs together, done business together, Jay out his MOUTH said that Nas is one of the greatest MC’s EVER. Nas said out his MOUTH “Thank God For Jay-Z”.

These nikkas ain’t NEVER gonna beef again. Nas dropped an EP to essentially get off Def Jam and jumpstart the next phase of his career with his label Mass Appeal. The Carters dropped an album to have new material for their world tour.

These nikkas ain’t going to bed thinking to themselves “let me spend MILLIONS of dollars and record an album to fukk up so and so’s release” like muthafukking Mr. Burns. That would be stupid as fukk. These nikkas ain’t thinking about each other.

Let it G O

Jay is the least charismatic rapper ever. And real awkward.

I would pay good money to turn back time and have Jay in there instead of X. Every scene with Jay would be HILARIOUS:banderas:

Yes and it ain’t hard to tell.

Nas was working on his last album for Def Jam, bu all accounts he’d been trying to get off the label since he had a fallout over the budget for Lost Tapes 2 ( your favorite subject lol) he was working with HipHop l, who was curating the beats.

Nas obviously wants his “true” albums to drop via Mass Appeal, HIS label. So the best of both worlds was to drop his seven song EP via Kanye West, bow out of def jam, and release whatever he wants HOW he wants vis MA

Yeah, I know I go in on those Lost Tapes. Its the collector in me. LOL

So if that's your theory on how things are over there with the God, then how might you explain the Swizz or Rza work? It seems like that just came up with in the 6 months. That also pushes more of his work farther back on the burner, thus making more, what? Lost Tapes.

The Swizz/Nas album was done in 2016. From what's been said of it, it seems like something that just happened.

Then there's the album he's been working on since 2012. There's several different sessions:

2012- he started working with Timbaland

2013- Timbaland confirms "Sinatra In The Sands"

2014- Nas revealed work with Tim, Swizz, and No ID. There were also sessions with Reefa and Mike Will

2016- Kahled alluded to the Nas/Swizz album by saying he'd been hearing talk in the streets of Nas and Swizz having some crazy records. Nas confirmed saying he and Swizz had a Virgo moment. In the same interview, Nas talked about sessions with Large Professor and Da Beatminerz. He also said Khaled had been feeding him beats from Cool & Dre.

2018- Nas drops Nasir produced by Kanye and co. He then reveals he's still working on the long awaited proper follow-up to Life Is Good and confirms Swizz and RZA as producers

Pretty much Swizz has been the common thread in the whole process. Just looking at pictures in this thread over the past few years, Nas and Swizz have done a lot together from sharing birthdays to appearances at events.

Swizz’s “album” with Nas is several years old. According to swizz its a group of songs that they recorded in 1-2 week period. Not necessarily as an album but just locking in musically. This collection of songs is, according to Swizz, strong enough to qualify as an album.

The RZA work hasn’t been described as a full album. Probably no more than 2 songs.
