Exactly. Have cats forgotten that Large Professor CEO’d Illmatic and got all the producers together? It was still Nas’ album.I guess 4:44 is a NO I.D. project with Jay vocals.
You dudes treat Nas like some hostage held against his own will by Kanye West. However this album turns out to be is how Nas wanted it to be.
Nas hasn’t missed the “mark” on his last three albums

I wonder if Kanye reached out to Premier for some scratching on one of these songs he cooking up for Nas.
such a weird rollout considering the wait/speculation/prayers in this thread since we were expecting a new nas album, no single no nada
pusha's album is my favorite so far from the GOOD releases, if production is around that level (not incredible but very consistent) ill be content, not really expecting another nas is like more of a mid 40s graceful album (not that easy to pull off imo but since is nas... GOAT will hopefully GOAT)
Nas got smart people around him plus he fairly clever himself im sure he saw the climate of the rap game and shifted to a new approach. The analytics say a 7 song album produced by Ye cant fail. And with streaming structured the way it is .. its almost like a cheat code to roll the album out this way. Clever way to get around a project leak as well. The less we know the more anticipated imo. Its a gamble for sure. Premier producing the album wouldnt have the same appeal are reach in 2018.
Esco is the GOAT for sure...but I won't lie...I'm a bit nervous brehs.
I really hope this isn't the album lineup...feels kind of forced/uncreative in my opinion. Wasn't this semi done on the firm album already?
I'd never doubt Esco's message, delivery, wordplay, etc. His voice alone is commanding. He's the GOAT for a reason.
I'm not saying Kanye isn't still great or whatever...but you'd seriously be lying to yourself if you claim he's just as great as he once was.
And it's nothing to be ashamed of. ALL of the greats go through a natural decline overtime. It sort of comes with age. I just really hope Kanye doesn't try taking Nas to the moon with the production...I'm almost certain Nas wouldn't just do any project he isn't 100% rocking with...
So much to contemplate. Friday can't come any sooner. Imagine the listening party is in NYC?
If that actually happens...finna make my way in no matter what. See ya there brehs
