So we know Nas has tons of music that will not be on his next album. Both old shyt from back in 03 until now. Everyone knows that Nas is my favorite I never criticize the god but damn! OK, the 02 Lost Tapes is a classic. The 03 Lost Tapes been done. The Def Jam Lost tapes that he said was done... what year was that? About 2010? And now, he no doubt has 12 quality tracks that he has recorded during and since LIG that could make up another. Ok so if each lost tapes is 12 tracks, thats 36 already ready to go. A betting man, like myself would have to say that Nas has to have over 50 to 60 unreleased tracks ready to go.

My problem is this and I've said this multiple times. Nas' Lost tapes releases (as we know) are going to be decades apart. The more nas records, the longer his list of musics gets and the more materials gets pushed back. Sony and Def Jam will be sitting on tons of music... and Def Jam aint gonna ever release they Nas tracks. This shyt is frustrating!

We are complaining because we want new music. 2018 will make it 6 years since a studio album from Nas, not 2 years..damn near SIX. And he's said the album was done several times over the years, so what exactly are you talking about? Put your extreme stanning of the man to the side for a second and look at it objectively.

So bytching about his personal life and who he’s supposedly dating is going to get you the album faster:gucci:

Didn't someone do a time line of Nas' "new album" comments, announcements and relevant posts after LIG and post it here?

Nas been talking about being in that zone since 2013 but at some point, didn't he say he was starting over? I know he was working with Timbaland when he reset.

He did specifically say he was starting over form when him and Timbaland were working together. I think he said he was only keeping Sinatra In The Sand at that point.

I stepped back from it," Nasty continued. "Tim's like, 'What are you doing?' and I'm like, 'I just need a minute to like ‒ I just need a minute to take it all in, just live a little and enjoy day-by-day stuff and daily stuff I'm doing.' It's just ‒ I didn't want to go back in the studio that quick. I felt like I needed to be inspired."

Nas Confirms Album In The Works With Timbaland

Timb spoke on it too. He said he and Nas had some crazy joints and he was mad that Nas stopped.

If I remember correctly Justice League Teased something as well that they had with Nas maybe a year ago.

I'm quoting my own stuff, lol...

but Nas' track, "The Season" is a perfect example of a nice track that could've possible made the album or at least a bonus track to not only probably not making the next album but probably not making the next Lost Tapes 2. He has such a huge body of new unreleased music that the really good old unreleased music is probably put farther back. I seriously doubt if Nas is going to put together a Lost Tapes album with tracks from the last 90's and tracks he did in the last few years. It probably wont fit well together.

That was a cool read. Sucks the version of fetus on spotify has a remixed beat. Guess the original sample didn't get cleared all the way through?

The original version is somewhere on YouTube and sounds great as well. That's one of many unexplained and most irritating facts about Nas ' recordings from past eras. He tries lots of the same verses over different beats and then there are many alternate versions and extended versions and things like that. Too me, it makes hearing all of his recordings a really big deal. Even though I want to hear his many lost tapes, I also want to hear the many different versions of songs that he experiemented with and tried too. One of my favorite unresolved mysteries in nas' vaults is this different version of blaze a 50. There is only one known leaked version of the track but IMO, it's superb and as much as I love the album version, I have to give this version a slight nod. Many people believe it's a dj's blend but I don't because I believe a better, non DJ tagged version would've surfaced. Sadly, no one has come forth with any other clues as to its authenticity other than the present clues about it debuting on some underground college radio show in Baltimore.
