I watched the tape years ago on YT. Long before this MJ puff piece. GP did as great a job on MJ as any one player did.

I don't agree. Many of these matchups were towards the tail end of Jordan's career after a multi year hiatus. Payton would have gotten destroyed by any version of Jordan from 86-92. Easily.

And the player that did the best job on Jordan was Dumars actually. Not taking anything away from Payton but my point is no one could actually guard Jordan one on one straight up in his prime. It was a team effort.

That's how he played. Reggie natural talent wasn't that great. He wasn't blessed like Cheryl was to be the best. But his mindset was a killer. It was so fun to see those Indy v. Bulls series.
