I don’t think this movie takes place during the blip (atleast not entirely) just for the simple fact I’m pretty sure shuri was blipped away her self.

Maybe part of it is during the blip and part of it is after, like Black Widow.
it's pretty much confirmed to take place in the present day.
shuri was blipped you're right

Trailer looks good. I'm team #recasttchalla but I'll wait just like the other MCU movies that came before to reserve judgment. Marvel knows how to make a good trailer. Their recent trailers have overhyped or set false expectations lately unfortunately.

Not my idea, but I think the only way I'll be cool with not recasting T'Challa is if Doom is responsible for killing T'Challa. There's no more badass way to have him enter the MCU than having him responsible for his death. I think this is highly unlikely, but would give great gravity to his character especially as I am hearing he is the driving force behind Wakanda and Atlantis going to war in this movie.
he is the reason for the conflict aka the puppet master

Cause Tchalla...the once black, masculine fictional character is now emasculated to the point of being written out of existence. So we need a black, masculine fictional character to follow until they emasculate him too.

Such a clviscious cycle when you dont own shyt.

Smh. If only we had a Billionaire filmmaker with his own studio and studio grounds to use his resources and create for us....if only he existed...

November is the date studios put movies they think will be heavy award contenders.

It’s also become one of the most box office lucrative release months because the movies will play in theatres for both Thanksgiving & Christmas.

It’s a really good (if not one of the best) release date, Marvel is also releasing Avengers: Secret Wars in November (2025) also.

Even though yes Marvel has released Thor 2 and 3, Doctor Strange 1 and Eternals in November before. Those did pretty good but not BP Numbers in those slots. Obviously this is going to be bigger then all four of those. I think once BP made the dough it did, you put it in Summer status at that point. It won awards last time and it dropped all the way back in February. This is a situation where the anticipation is so big that the date probably doesn't matter as much but I believe a Summer slot would of been great for this. "Avatar 2" is obviously a huge threat but it has 5 weeks breathing room from that so the demand should have already been met. "Creed III" is dropping Thanksgiving as well but I think it will clean up because again the anticipation will be there. Also for the record, I seriously doubt an Avengers movie comes out in November. Every Single Avengers movie has been Late April/Early May. Those dates aren't set in stone and are tentative. I see "Secret Wars" dropping May 2026.

The “summer blockbuster” isn’t the same as it was years prior. The Holiday season blockbuster is just as big. Christmas has the most viewers of any season and Thanksgiving isn’t that far behind. Look at the Disney Animation/Pixar movies (Frozen etc), No Way Home & even where they decided to put out Avatar. Big studios put their big hitters out for the holidays just as much as summer.
