I've been informed of the existence of Trendon Watford and his coach Bucky McMillan being a package deal and Im fully prepared for Auburn to take Gus daughter's college tuition fund to pay for the two to be brought on
watching women tourney.1 thing i never understood, how these teams be playing on their own court
maryland a 3 seed and basically got a extra home game
When I was looking at the bracket to see where Auburn was at and I was looking down all the regions thinking I was just fukking tripping
I guess the rationale is that the league doesn't trust fans to travel to random locations en masse??? But most of those programs that are top seeds that are getting home court..would still have home court anywhere as they're prestigious women's programs. They'd just also allow the opposing underdog to have a real chance.
I feel it's dumb as hell if you're seeking parity, but I don't think that sport's bread is buttered on the idea of parity...allowing one program to have several 70+ game winning streaks in one millennium.
"Beginning after their loss to Stanford in the fall of 2014, the Huskies went on a 111-game winning streak. This streak included two national championships. They made history by being the first team in NCAA Division I women's basketball to win four consecutive championships.
Over the course of this streak, only three games were won by fewer than ten points"
