I would say Temple has the largest fan base. I don't have the stats, but out of the six Big five schools, I think Temple has the most Philly students/alums.

temple is the hometown favorite by far.

villanova has the weakest profile of the 6 schools. most people don't even know where it is, as opposed to temple, which is all over the heart of the city.

not saying that nova doesn't get love, but if temple won or even if a st joes won the title, the city would be shut down.
